She comes to this world

Testing her lungs

As her life is unfurled

Tears wash away

As her father tries to keep

His emotions at bay

While his wife slips away

Forever he’ll blame

The loss of his love on her

Forever in shame

She’ll believe every word

With tears in her eyes

She’ll watch all the others

Playing children’s games

With their loving mothers

It’ll pass eventually

All this pain

Her tears will stop falling

A break in the rain

Without those tears

Obstructing her vision

She’ll jump into love

In a head-first collision

With tears in her eyes

Of pure happiness

She says “I do”

And seals it with a kiss

Tears of pain

Turn to tears of relief

As her baby is born

One last tear rolls down her cheek

The crying screeches of her child

Is the last sound she hears

Just like her own life

Her child’s began in tears

It’s a sad thought

That makes her cry

And with tears in her eyes

She dies
