A/N: It's hard to explain. This is fictional, but then again it's not. The four girls are based off my best friends and myself. Guess which one is me. Well, today at school was all too interesting so I just had to write it all down. My friends and I are always making witty comments and making weird conversation. But, we all know our lives are a bit too complicated. Do you dare get into the lives and minds of chaotic teenagers, who think of nothing but love? Fair warning though, this is far from normal.

“Wow. That guy over there is sexy.” Moe said. She was practically drooling on herself as she looked over at the new student at the other side of the cafeteria.

“No. I’m sexy.” Sebastian contradicted as she looked over to see the boy. Her eyes scanned the whole cafeteria looking for him. It wasn’t hard to spot him after noticing he was the only guy surrounded by most of the girls in their grade. Since he was blocked by most of the girls, Sebastian could only get a quick glance at him, but even after one little glimpse she was convinced. “Okay, never mind. He’s sexy too.”

Both the girls laughed and continued to eat their lunch. Or should I say Sebastian ate her lunch, as Moe stole a French fry off her tray every now and again. Sebastian never cared much though because after half a school year of Moe doing this she got used to it. And so did their other two best friends, Oliver and Marley. Just as Sebastian thought about Oliver and Marley, the two girls popped out of nowhere and sat across from Moe and Sebastian.

Yes, it was obvious that all four of them had boy’s names, but that was not the reason why they were friends. It might seem like the appropriate reason, but their names being like that were just a coincidence. Oliver, Moe, and Sebastian, went way back. All the way back to second grade. Sure, it didn’t seem like a long time ago for this astonishing group of friends, but it really was. They had come a long way, but that’s a story for another day.

“Did you girls see the new guy?” Moe asked Oliver and Marley. The two girls both nodded and laughed at Moe’s excitement. She was always the most flirtatious of the group, but she didn’t mind and neither did her friends.

“You know, I actually heard that he has a class with us, Moe.” Marley shouted towards her. Moe’s eyes sparkled in interest but didn’t say anything. It grew silent, but they all knew that wouldn’t last for long, and it didn’t. Oliver’s voice soon filled the air with exciting news.

“Hey, did you guys hear about that lady, whose son married her sister?” Oliver asked. Talk about random, Marley thought.

“Hey! Don’t talk about my mom like that!” Sebastian joked. It was always like her to twist things around and make them hilarious. The four girls’ laughed a fit and then continued talking about the latest books, and asking each other if they could copy their homework. Moe was currently copying Marley’s math homework that she ‘forgot’ to do, and Sebastian had her face glued to a book that Moe let her borrow. That left Oliver with nothing to do. She sat there, bored out her mind, until she saw a certain someone walking her way. As he came closer and closer, Oliver felt herself hold her breath and her nails digging into her own palms. There was only one person who could do this to her, Ralph Parson. Oh, he might seem like your average teenage boy, with his tousled toffee hair and obsession with collecting state quarters, and he was. He was completely and utterly average. And that was a total turn-on for Oliver. The way he swayed as he walked, blushed shamelessly, and how his butt….

“Hey, Ollie.” Ralph’s voice made Oliver jump, and she jerked her elbow upward as she slammed her knee into the table; quite a way to start a conversation. Before anything else could happen, Moe’s high-pitched baby scream filled Oliver’s right ear.

“Oh my god! I just finished copying that! Ugh! It’s ruined. Oh my god. Oliver.” Moe was now standing up wiping off her jeans and shaking dry her spiral notebook.

Oliver, Sebastian, Marley, Ralph, and whoever else was listening to Moe scream, were now looking directly at her. Oliver saw Moe’s jeans completely soaked in chocolate milk, right in the crotch area. Also, the math homework she was coping was drenched and was dripping liquid. Oliver decided to blame it all on Ralph. All of them were silent as Moe continued to whine. It became more and more awkward for them as Moe stood there, exposing her wet jeans to everyone in sight.

“You look like you pissed on yourself. “ Sebastian said. Just on cue. Oliver’s eyes bulged and she was ready to run from a fight she knew as coming. But instead, Moe started laughing hysterically and so did Sebastian and Marley. Oliver chuckled nervously and then started to lighten up as Moe dabbed her jeans with napkins that Ralph had got her.

“Thanks, Oliver. You made my day.” Moe said, straining another laugh. Ralph was still standing at the edge of their table and Oliver lifted her head slowly to meet his eyes. But, instead of having an, ‘oh-so-romantic’ moment with him, she was confused of what to make of what she saw. His brilliant emerald eyes weren’t gleaming like they always were; instead one of them was twitching uncontrollably. Odd, Oliver thought to herself.

“Um, Ralph? Is your eye okay?” She asked, being careful not to embarrass him. He quickly rubbed his eyes with the back of his hand and nodded.

“It twitches sometimes.” He explained. Oliver just nodded but she couldn’t look away from the eye that had a mind of it’s own. When Ralph directed his attention towards Oliver, she quickly looked away and became fascinated with the wall.

Ralph opened his mouth to speak but was interrupted by someone calling out his name behind him.

“Yo! Ralph, come on!” Another guy called out. Oliver looked at him from the corner of her eye and saw him walk away. She sighed and then propped her elbow on the table and leaned her head into her hand.

“Love sick, my friend?” Marley asked. Oliver blushed and shook her head. Marley giggled and then looked around.

“Time to go.” Moe sang out the very same time the bell rung, signaling the students to advance to their next class. Sebastian was already out of sight and Moe left without waiting up for anyone. Marley said bye to Oliver and left the cafeteria and went to her locker. The boy who occupied the locker next to her was waiting there for her and she already knew what he wanted. His tall frame always added to the freakiness of how skinny he was, and Marley never saw his smile.

“Hey, Corey. Forget again?” Marley turned the dial to her own locked and it sprang open. Corey was already standing over top of her and looking at the inside of her locker walls. Earlier that school year, Corey had begged Marley to let him write his combination inside her locker walls, just in case he needed to remember it. Luckily, Marley was in a good mood that day and complied with his request. But, if she knew how often it would happen she probably would have reconsidered.

After grabbing a pencil and notebook she shut her locker and moved through the crowd of people, towards her math class. When she entered, Moe wasn’t there yet so she grabbed a calculator and took her seat. She was almost always the first one into algebra class and she was used to sitting alone for five minutes. But, to her surprise there was another person sitting on the other side of the classroom. It was New Boy.

“Hey.” Marley shouted across the classroom. He saw his head jerk up, and he smiled.

“Hey. I’m Ja--” Marley heard him say, but the rest of his words were drained by the booming voice of her despised classmate, Toby

“Hey lover.” He said to Marley as she rolled her eyes and looked passed him towards the new boy. “Marley, you really should give me a chance. People tell me that I am a generally nice guy.”

“Somebody has been lying to you, then.” Marley said, trying to hide her smile as more people came into the classroom.

“Seriously, I honestly think that if we got to know each other better, we could both be happy.” Toby whispered.

“Why? I don’t seem happy just the way I am? I don’t need you to be happy.”

“Why can’t you just take a chance for once in your life, Marley? I’ve known you for years and you’ve always been the good girl.”

Marley felt her jaw clench and it took all her strength not to jump across her desk and strangle Toby. “There is nothing wrong with being a good girl, I have fun like everybody else and I play it safe. I am perfectly happy. And I’d be even happier if you would go away.” She said. She looked at him with smoldering eyes and he got the hint and moved away.

Marley could not grasp the fact that Toby Hemmingway was infatuated with her. Even the thought of them together made her eyebrows scrunch together furiously. He was the most conceited, vile, and obscure boy she had ever met and she was his total opposite. Yeah, yeah, she was used to hearing that babble about how opposites attract but she was not attracted to him at all. Nada. Nothing. Nope.

“You look like you should be on a toilet.” Marley looked up with her smoldering eyes but then relaxed when she saw Moe standing in front of her. “What’s the matter?” Moe asked. She took her seat in front of Marley and began to copy down the notes on the overhead.

“Oh, you know. Toby’s trying to swoon me, but it’s not working as per usual.” She saw Moe smile and then began to take notes herself.

Their teacher, Mr. Abbot, was an old man, but his ears were very sharp. Any sound would make him go crazy and then the class or student would end up taking double notes the next class period. Even though, Mr. Abbot was mean about noise, he was never one for seeing note passing.

I talked to the new boy. Marley scribbled on a scrap piece of paper and then shoved it towards Moe.

She saw Moe take her time to read it then saw her hand move furiously on the paper.

What happened? What’s his name?

Well it was going pretty well until Toby the idiot started talking to me. His name, oh well, I think it starts with a ‘J’, from what I heard at least.

When she passed the paper back to Moe she saw her giggle and then shake her head.

You think? That’s great, Marley. We need to talk to him. After all, we need to save him from the evil blondes that linger in this school, waiting to make their move!

As Marley read what Moe had written, she couldn’t help but imagine girls pouncing on him from behind walls, that made her laugh. Out loud. Everyone’s heads turned towards her and she quickly shoved the piece of paper into her notebook.

“Miss Hanson!” Mr. Abbot screamed and then dropped a packet of vocabulary on her desk. “Didn’t I say not to talk? Copy that. All of it, young lady.” Mr. Abbot turned on his heel back to his desk and from behind her she could hear Toby jeering. She turned around slightly and did the only thing she could do without getting in trouble. Marley smiled sweetly at Toby and then mouthed, ‘I hate you.’

Sebastian hated everyone in her sixth block class. That’s why she slept through the entire thing, almost every time she was in there. Except for today. Today was a special day. Today, Bright came back to school from his suspension. Yeah, suspension; you heard it right. In case you missed the memo, Sebastian Peace was off limits, she was not to be touched by any guy other than her long time boyfriend Bright Newman. Possessive much? Not really, if you really knew Bright, which not many people do, then you would know he’s such a softie. Sure, he had a hard exterior and acted tough all the time, but deep down he was as sensitive as you can get. And that’s exactly why Sebastian was with him.

The minutes passed by, but there was still no sign of Bright. Class was half over and there was still no sign of him. Class was over; Bright never came. Sebastian was furious and outraged! He had promised her on the phone that he would be at school because he missed her. Oh, he was a good liar.

Sebastian walked out of class and was pissed. She was muttering to herself and occasionally screamed randomly. When she got to her locker, she was too upset to turn the dial correctly so every time she tried it didn’t open. Sebastian was cursing up a storm, until a voice interrupted her rant about how stupid and selfish Bright was.

“S.? Are you okay?” Sebastian turned around and saw Regina Von York hovering over her shoulder. Sebastian was not expecting Regina to be talking to her. Sebastian was wondering why Regina wasn’t with her group of friends, formerly known as ‘The blondes’. She’s probably trying to catch up on her daily gossip, since Bright is popular and all, Sebastian thought to herself.

“Yeah, I’m fine.” Regina pretended to care but it was obvious she was trying to hold something back. “Are you okay?” S asked.

“Look, I have to confess. I know why Bright wasn’t in school today.” Sebastian faced Regina completely and gave her, her full attention, but Regina wouldn’t continue. Even after a full five minutes, Regina still didn’t say anything.

“Look, if you are trying to create suspense or whatever you’re being stupid. If you know something about my boyfriend you need to tell me. And if you don’t, you’re just wasting my time.” Sebastian never liked to waste time.

Regina looked like a wounded puppy, and inside Sebastian’s head she was laughing a fit. But, she kept a straight face and was clearly intimidating Regina.

“I’m just trying to pass you some information, you don’t have to be so hostile.”

“Well, you don’t have to tell me you know something about Bright and then not tell me. Are you trying to hurt me? Because that’s just not nice.” Sebastian said.

“And neither are you.” Regina shot back. Sebastian liked her more and more by the second.

“Okay. Listen, you icicle queen of the underworld, tell me now or regret this whole conversation later.” Sebastian was good at threatening people. She saw a flicker of fear sprawled across Regina’s face and then she finally gave in.

“Bright wasn’t at school today because he ditched and went to the Cedar Fair with Josie.” Sebastian was going to kill him.

The day was over and Moe was at home, on her computer, typing away furiously. Moe was an aspiring writer and she spent every moment she had writing down her ideas and story plots. She was currently working on a romance between a vampire and an angel, but was interrupted by her cell phone ringing.

“Ay.” Moe said into the speaker of the phone but didn’t hear any response. She looked down at her phone screen then repeated herself. “Ay Yo Oliver!” She screamed this time.

“Oh. Sorry. Got distracted. Hey! Um, I have a serious question.” Oliver replied. Moe rolled away form her computer desk then plopped down on her bed, listening to everything Oliver was talking about.

“This is about Ralph, right?” Moe asked before anything else.

“How did you know?” Oliver asked, shocked.

“Come on. You guys flirt all the time, or, well you guys try to flirt, and the way he looks at you, and I know for a fact you are infatuated with him.” He looks at me with his twitchy eyes, Oliver thought. Ugh, I hate how Moe knows me too well. “Especially today during lunch.” Both of the girls laughed and Oliver explain what she had been thinking during lunch.

“Why don’t you just tell him how you feel?” Moe suggested.

“Moe, this is me we’re talking about. I’m afraid to confess my liking of a soda flavor, much less an actual person. And, he’s a great guy, as a friend and all but if I mess that up then I’d regret it.”

“Oliver. You cannot keep thinking like that. Here, if you’re afraid to confess your undying stalkerish love for him, then just get really close to him, and not like stand behind him like an obsessive shadow kind of close, I mean the talk to him about things that matter and stuff like that.”

“I guess that could work. Thanks, Moe. But, I have to go, my crazy mother is beckoning me.”

“Bye.”

Marley was at the park, swinging back and forth, just thinking about how she really wanted a boyfriend. I mean, after half a school year someone should of asked me out already, right? Marley thought.

She found herself quite lonely nowadays. Marley wasn’t desperate, just looking for more options. She was a decent girl, sweet, giving, caring, somewhat tall with pixie like hair. Marley was hopeless.

“Thinking about me aren’t you?” Marley snapped out of her day dreaming and then stopped the swing, seeing Toby sitting on the bench in front of the swings.

“Stop following me.” Marley said bluntly.

“That’s hard to do, considering we live right next to each other.” Toby grinned and showed off his dashing dimples and straight teeth. He was quite the charmer with the ladies but always thought of himself before others, and that’s exactly why Marley didn’t want anything to do with him. But, if he proved that he was a generally nice guy like he claims, then maybe…. Marley felt like she had to mentally slap herself. She was not thinking about her and King conceited over there. No way.

“Stop thinking about me Marley.” Toby said. Damn, why did he always have to be right?
