as the world whirls,

we all wonder quite what we have in store.

seven who have (almost all)

come so far together;

the five of the four-year bond

and the two usurpers we accepted.

but how can I argue?

it’s never been my place to

speak out,

for it never comes across

like I mean what I try to say.
