She moved to Arizona from Maine when she was just 11 years old. She stood at 4’9”, and weighed around 90 pounds. She had dark brown hair that fell down the middle of her back, and her bangs were grown out. Her cerulean colored eyes flashed in different shades, depending on her mood. Her birthday was November 12th. She was a vegetarian, deaf in in her left ear. and lactose intolerant. She believed in recycling. She was slim, but athletic. She participated in four different variations of Track in school. She was one of fifteen siblings, some biological, some step, and some half. She had four turtles in a million gallon tank that were named after the Ninja Turtles.
She had lived in Arizona all her life. She stood at 4’8”, and weighed around 85 pounds. She was 11 years old. She had dark brown hair cut to the tops of her shoulders, layered, with side-swept bangs. She had jade green eyes that sparkled whenever she was excited and could pierce you when she was pissed off. Her birthday was November 30th. She just made the cut-off point for school. She was involved with community service clubs, her church’s youth group and choir, and a dedicated member of Girl Scouts as well as a bowling league. She was one of six siblings, and many pets. She had a small circle of friends who she truly believed were there for her, no matter what.
And something miraculous happened between these two very different girls…
The summer before seventh grade, they fell in love. One week into 7th grade, they were dating. And eight years and eight months later, they are still together. The girls are now finishing up their second year of college.
One girl wants to be a veterinarian. The other wants to be a surgeon. But most of all, all these two girls want is love and acceptance from the people that they care about. And even though they’re both twenty years old now, they still cannot understand why so many people disapprove of their happiness.
