God’s Humor….5-4-08

(upon watching my children working their way through young adulthood)

I thought what a mean trick,

As I reach half a century,

To realize such things

That the young don’t know.

But then as I relax and meditate awhile,

I reason, that, what is my irony,

Is, really, but God’s best humor.

Then I remember

What I was like at that age,

Had I known what I know now,

I would have fainted.

So now I know, that,

what really is my irony,

Is really, really, God’s best humor!
