This is a parallel poem to the poem I Hear America Singing by someone that I forgot the name of. lol

I Hear America Screaming

I hear America screaming, the varied pitches I hear,
Those of soldiers, each one screaming as they fight for the ones they love,
The children screaming as they hide from the world they fear,
The business man screaming as he loses another stock,
The drug dealer screaming as he dies from a shot through the chest,
The mothers and daughters screaming as they hear of their husbands and fathers deaths,
The prostitute screaming as another man defiles her body,
The blood curdling screaming of a boy being beaten and raped,
Each screaming to distract themselves from the world they wish to leave,
The day belongs to good--at night the bad roam free,
Screaming with eyes shut tight and mouths open wide, their fear and hate running freely from their bodies.

Please R&R :)
