Annabelle Cole was born and raised in the small town of Freeport, Illinois. It was a one Starbucks kind of town with a population of few. To get to the nearest major store you had to hit two major highways. At 17 years old she lives alone after her parents were brutally killed last year. Nobody but Annabelle knows how her parents died; she doesn’t talk about it much. All that anybody knows is that it happened the one day that Annabelle had not been home. Ever since though, Annabelle has never left her house. Not for coffee, or food. She has the neighbor boy go on errands for her. When he returns she gives him five dollars for his troubles and ten dollars for the gas money.

The neighbors name was Tommy Whitley. Living with his strict dad, the only fun he ever really has is drawing pictures in his room late at night. He has always been suspicious of Miss Cole, but never had the motive enough to investigate anything further than her front porch. One night while painting near his window, Tommy got the shock of his life. Annabelle had left her blinds open and as Tommy was staring outside that night, he saw her.

Annabelle opened her closet and inside was the skeletal remains of her dead parents. Annabelle turned towards her window and saw Tommy gazing at her. Tommy’s eyes widened in complete horror. He was caught. He quickly shut his blinds and ran down stairs. Just as he was about to lock his front door it swung open…
