My Dinosaur

the white stuff
on his back
is more like spikes than fuzz.
he is a little dinosaur.
the last to survive.

upon closer inspection
he is in fact not a caterpillar,
because he only
has six legs.
He looks like a caterpillar
because after his torso ends
he has a tail that’s as wide as his body
and about as long as it too,
but it’s just dragging behind him,
no legs attached.
