walk away
don’t say a

don’t upset her
you’ll just make
trouble

behavior
that controls

long
painful

the way she
doesn’t even

care

that you are
burning
behind the closed
door

not a word is
muttered
about your anger

go to your
room
shut the
door
grab the
lighter
dull the
pain
it’s the only
thing
that keeps you
sane

keep it inside
turn off the
light
the candle

feel
the flame

smell
burning flesh

see
scarlet skin

hear
crackling fire

you are being
consumed
with no remorse
on your own will
