Where there lies mystery there often mirrors tragedy
A fine and darkened line which crosses slowly from divine
Amassed destruction of the hearts isolation wherein you sit
Panicked into a silence, masked your mind and back to me
Fair the evenings, where we can laugh and be set free
In such a beautiful world dreamed up by those as sad as me
Passionate the sounds that move around me like a swirling mist
I sit and listen to them mesmerized and bound by this
And outstretched arm, in kindness, dance around and go
Shocked, pulling back and stepping forward into vertigo
Not the world where you collide and rest at peace by my side
Or the sounds of electric birds and waters rushing by in my head
But your voice that echoes, dragging the waters between love and dread
You would to love a shadow first but cast a light to drag it from its state
Then dig the body from its shallow grave, and in patience sit and wait
Where the world and you collide there is some strange equation there
Moving like a nervous wolf, pacing in circles, then stops to stare.
Wondering if the wolf is dangerous enough that you should go
Asking within what’s worse, the pain or chance to never know?
