My eight year old sister wrote! Please review nicely. She says that the second chapter will be up soon!
Chapter One
One day, A girl named Maria was in the car with her mom. They were
Driving to Maria’s school fair.
Every year at the end of school they
Had one. They had just decided that next summer they would have mini golf at the fair. Maria had never liked golf, but whenever she tried it, the ball
Would roll into the river by the hole.
Plus sometimes they put sticky sand stuff (Whatever that was) on top
Of the small hill. Sometimes you had
To start on bigger hill, but
The ball always rolled right into the sticky sand stuff.
Even when the adults tried it, it would
Roll into the river or the sticky sand.
Very little of the people trying out got it into the hole. That’s when Maria decided the she hated the golf place.
The next day they were going on a ship that was going to California
To see Aunt Melissa. Aunt Melissa
Loved to travel. So did Maria.
Maria had only moved once from
Florida to Georgia, but her mom was
Planning to buy a better house.
Maria’s house was pretty old, but it was fancy.
Her mother didn’t like the house that much, Maria didn’t either.
The house they were going to buy was right down the street from there
Very big school. Maria was 9.
Every summer, Maria and her mother
Went to a house on the water.
They had a very big boat.
When they were at the Fair, they saw
A big stuffed animal stand, A Ferris
Wheel, and a room you’d go in and it would shake. There were a bunch of
People waiting in line to go down a huge blown up slide.
There was a moon walk and a refreshment stand by the trampoline.
Maria got some soda than she went on the moon walk.
“Maria, its time to go home.” Called
Maria’s mother.
“We have to get up early tomorrow.”
“Okay.” Said Maria as she jumped off
the moon walk.
“All are tickets are gone anyway.”
Maria walked to the car with her mother. “What time are we going to
Get up tomorrow.” Asked Maria.
“Five.” Maria’s mother said back.
Maria groaned.
