Proof that I'm alive,

Can you tell me my name?

Can you say who I am,

What I've done?

Can you see,

Or am I only a shadow?

Am I living,

What proof is there,

Except the steady beat of my heart,

What proof is there?

Of course you can't,

The only proof is that I'm here,

But why would that matter since you can't see me.

No one is ever going to remember my face,

To them I'm not even a person.

I know I'm looking haunted,

Not that anybody would care,

Since I don't exist,

At least in anyone's eyes.
