Time to go to bed

I’ve been working late tonight

Destroying kingdoms and

Crushing dreams

Time to go to sleep

They’re coming for me in the night

Those people I created

In between these sheets

The pen and ink

(Woolworth’s complete)

Have done their work for tonight

And in the dark I’ll just

Go to sleep like some forgotten child

And sleep easy

And silent

And still

Till tomorrow
