Time Sphere 2: Zayda's Secret

Last time I talked to you I told you the Happy/Sad story of Hana Locke. As you know, she had to shoot her father in this dimension called Dalton. She ended up dying and being ressurected by a necklace called a Time Sphere. She lost her mother so now she lives with her older brother and sister, Lilly Anna and Darryl. So, do you remember me now? Good, so let's see how Hana is doing with her new life.

LIFE WITH THE LOCKE FAMILY

A beeping sound awoke Hana. It was her alarm clock. Hana opened her eyes and she had a flash back. She remembered the night she was sitting in the hospital in Dalton with everyone looking at her after she had almost died. She returned back to the present. She climbed out of bed and went out of her room.

Hana went down the stairs. She came to a halt. Darryl her older brother who is 34 years old was actually cooking breakfast. "Good morning Hana! You look terrible. Did you sleep well?" Hana walked over and sat down next to Lilly Anna, her sister. Lilly was sitting at the table drinking some coffee. "No I didn't. I had the dream again." Hana said. "You know Hana. Having that dream is only natural. You feel guilty about what happened to Mom. I mean it only happened three months ago." Lilly said with her calm gentle voice. Hana smiled at her and got up. "Well I need to get ready for school. Orra should be here soon. " Oh yeah. I need to get going too. I'm going to look for a job today. So see ya!" Darryl said sitting down a plate of pancakes and heading out the door. "What's he in a rush for?" Hana asked "I have no idea. Hey I need to get a job too. Do you think there is a opening for the nurse at your school for me?" Lilly said "You know what you can come with Orra, Zayda and me to school." Hana offered "Yeah sure. Sounds like fun."

There was a knock on the front door. "Come on Lilly. Time to go." Hana said and walked to the door and opened it. "Hey your not Orra." It was a man. He was really tall and had blue jeans and a brown jacket on. "Who are you?" Lilly walked down the stairs and screamed "Hana get away from him!" Hana obeyed. She learned from past experience that if Lilly screams, back away. "You had better leave now Zeke." "Oh come on now. I just came to visit an old friend." Hana then realized who this was. It was the man who had the small baby dragon when Darryl was in the cropfields and who was with Oliver the night he died. Then something surprising happened.

ZEKE

Zayda walked up the steps. "Hey Han. I want you to meet someone, my brother Zeke." Lilly's eyes grew big same with Hana. "He just came back from the Army. Anyways we should get going Hana. Orra and her sister are in the car. Your sister can come too is she wants." "Did you say that Corra is in the car? Sure I'll come." Lilly said cautiously.

Hana grabbed her book bag and ran out the door. She climbed into a red van. Where Orra and Corra were sitting talking in the way back. "Hi guys. Can you believe this. That guy can't be a good sign." Corra answered because Lilly was still talking up at the house "He's not. I believe that he is here to mess with our world." "Hi Corra, Orra." said Lilly who had just came up to the van. "So Lilly, Corra. When did you return to your family?" Zeke said without any intrest at all. "Well me, my twin brother, and Corra came back from our, other home three months ago." Lilly said through gritted teeth. "Oh really? So did Zeke. But he was fighting in a war in this town called Dalton." Zayda said. Hana and Orra looked at each other worriedly.

You know as my reader you should know what all the characters look like. So let me tell you what Zayda looks like. Zayda, like her brother, has dirty blonde hair. She is pretty tall. She is really girly. She wears a mini skirt and a tanktop.

In the middle set of seats Hana and Lilly were whispering about Zeke's appearence. Hana looked out the front windsheild and saw in the rearview mirror, Zeke's eyes on her. She suddenly had a shiver go down her back. I don't blame her. If those black beady eyes were looking at me I would have a shiver too.

CONFESSION

They arrived at the school five minutes later. Hana and Orra said good-bye to their sisters and went into the building. Hana and Orra went to their first class. They went to their second class after that. At noon they went to lunch and picked a table away from everyone else so they could talk. Hana and Orra thought it was wierd that Zeke was related to Zayda. Hana said "You know what Orra? I shouldn't be surprised about any of this." when she saw Orra's quizical look she went on " I mean what were the odds that you and Corra end up in the middle of this like me. My father the dictator. My mother dying. And you seeing that cat with Zayda's face. Hey, are you thinking what I'm thinking?" Hana asked "You think Zayda was there too? You're right. We shouldn't be surprised. But if she was there then why didn't she show herself or tell us? I mean we are her best friends. We should ask her questions without leading her on. Look here she comes now. Hey Zay." Like she said there was Zayda. She sat in front of Hana. "Hey Zay. How was your summer?" Hana said to her. "It was awesome!" "Where did you go?" Orra asked. "Oh I went to Dalton. Where my brother was fighting." She answered very cautiously. "You know what I have never asked you before Zay. What is your favorite animal." "Oh that is easy. A cat. You know Hana that is a very pretty necklace. Where did you get it?"

Zayda pointed to the silver chain with a dragon pendent on it around Hana's neck. "My brother gave it to me three months ago." Hana answered looking at Orra. "Oh I forgot to ask you. Where did you two go a month before school was out? The school said you went on an early vacation." "We went to a small town called Corral." Orra answered thinking of something to say.

"Hi girls!" said a voice. Orra turned around and saw Corra. She was walking towards them with a plastic apron on. "Hi Corra. Um, are you the new lunch lady?" Hana asked a little wierded out. Corra looked down at her apron and then looked back up and said "Yeah. Well I needed a job and they gave me one. Lilly's the new nurse." she walked away. Orra and Hana looked at each other. "You thinkin' what I'm thinkin' Hana" Orra said smiling. Hana nodded. In their next class. Hana and Orra told the teacher that they got sick over the weekend. So they got hallpasses to go to the nurse. Or in this case, Lilly.

HUMALS

The nurse's office was just down the hall. They knocked on the door and Lilly opened it. "Hey Hana! I got the job." "Yeah we know. Can we come in?" Lilly let them in the small office. "So why are you here Hana?" Hana looked to Orra and answered "Well we talked to Zayda. And she said that she went to Dalton three months ago. When me and Orra were in the park before we went home Orra said she saw a cat that had Zayda's face." Lilly sat down and thought for a few minutes then stood up and cleared a spot on the table in the center of the room. Hana and Orra walked over to the table. Lilly pointed at the spot and all of a sudden a small dusty red book appeared. "Whoa Lilly! How did you do that?" Hana said amazed. "Magic." Lilly said simply "Anyways let me read this real quick." She opened the book and read a couple pages then looked up shocked. "Uhhh, she knows." "What?" Hana and Orra said together. "She knows. It says right here: 'a Humal is a person who can change into the mammal that he/she perfers best. In the beginning of this transformation the person's face remains on the body for a brief moment' So you see if you had seen her face on the cat then she is a Humal. Which means she can do magic, and impressive magic at that. So she knows about you." "Does that mean she is evil because her brother is?" Hana asked with the most confusing look she could make on he face. "More than likely Hana." Lilly said.

There was a knock on the door. "Ooh. Hana look like I just gave you some medicine." Lilly said making the book disappear. She walked over and opened the door. "Darryl?" she said. And like she said there he was with a cleaning cart and rubber gloves. "Oh hi Lilly, Hana, Orra. Lilly I didn't know you got a job over here." "Yeah I did. So did Corra. Hey come in here for a second. We have to tell you something very important." Hana and Orra told him everything. "What? Are you telling me that Zeke is your friend's brother?" "Yes Darryl." "Well then your friend is our cousin." Hana and Lilly were very shocked at this piece of information. "Are you kidding me?" Hana said. "No I'm not. Zeke is our cousin. That is why he was with me in the cropfields and with Oliver all the time. He's Aunt Laine's son."

Lilly and Darryl got off work early so they could take Hana with them to go talk to Aunt Laine. Corra did the same with Orra. "Now I know why Zayda lives with just her dad." Orra said as they walked down the street. They arrived.

COUSINS

Aunt Laine was shocked to see the five of them there. "Darryl, Lilly, Corra, Hana and Orra. What are you all doing here?" Aunt Laine said. "Aunt Laine we need to talk." Hana said stepping forward. They moved into the living room and sat down on the two couches. "So what do you want to talk about?" Aunt Laine asked nervously. Hana looked at her and said "How come you never told us that you had kids?" Aunt Laine looked worried "What you have to know about that is I didn't think that it was important." "You didn't think it was important?" Lilly said dangerously. "Calm down Lilly." Hana said "We just want to know why. I mean mine and Orra's friend is your daughter and has been since we were six. And I am now just finding out she is my cousin." Aunt Laine looked scared "How did you find out?" "Aunt Laine did you know that Zeke was Oliver's assistant?" Darryl said and she looked clueless. "What? That is impossible. They don't even have any magic." "Your wrong Ms. Landers. Zayda is a Humal. And Zeke is a posseser of Dragons." Corra said, taking part in the coversation. "A Humal? That is some serious accusation. I mean to be a Humal you need to have some impressive magic. And Zeke a dragon posseser?"

They spent the afternoon telling Aunt Laine all the clues they found. "Alright I believe you. But Zayda is not evil." She said "Just because her brother is it doesn't mean she is." There was a knock on the door. "Who would be visiting me now?" She got up and opened the door. There was a scream. "Mom! It is so great to see you." It sounded like Zayda. Hana got up and the others followed. "Um, Aunt Laine. We will come back after school tomorrow. Okay." Hana said starting to go out the door. Zeke was with Zayda. They looked at her strangely. "Hana? What are you doing here? Did you just say that my mom is your Aunt?" Zayda said. "Uhhh, Zayda. Hana is my sister's daughter, same with Lilly and Darryl." Hana and the others ran out the door and down the street.

About a mile later they slowed down. "Hana you will go to school tomorrow. But for the rest of the week you are staying home." Lilly said. "Why?" Hana asked "We can't let you go anywhere unsupervised. Zeke is up to something." Hana was petrified. All of a sudden her necklace burned red hot against her skin. "Ouch!" Hana said jumping up. "What is it Hana?" Darryl asked. "Is it burning again? That means something evil is in the air." For some strange reason the necklace started to float. "Hey! Bad Toby." Hana said addressing her necklace. "You named your necklace?" Orra asked laughing "Yeah. It has a mind of it's own. So it should be treated like an individule." Hana said acting annoyed. "Hey do you guys mind if we spend the night at your house tonight?" Corra asked. "Sure. That'll be fun." Lilly answered.

An hour later Hana opened the door to let Orra and Corra in the house. "Hey Hana." Orra said walking in. Corra went up to Lilly's room and Orra followed Hana up to her room. Hana's room was a mess. There were clothes everywhere and little pieces of paper all over. "Sorry about the mess. I haven't cleaned it in four months." Hana said. "Don't worry about it. Anyways, I am guessing that Corra wanted to come over so we can talk about Zayda." At that point the phone in Hana's room rang. Hana made her way towards it.

The following is a conversation on the phone.

Hana: Hello?

?: Hi Hana. It is me Zayda.

Hana: Oh hi Zayda. Hold on a second. (Hana hit a botton on the phone that put it on speaker.)

Hana: Alright. So what did you call for?

Zayda: Are you kidding me? We just found out we are cousins. And you aren't excited.

Hana: Oh yeah I forgot. You know. I am just going through alot right now. (Orra laughed)

Zayda: Oh hi Orra. Hana. You got me on speaker?

Hana : Well yeah. I have to clean my room. Anyways, Zayda I need to ask you something. Where is Dalton? And how did you get there?

Zayda: Alright. When did you find out?

Hana: About the time Orra saw your face on that cat in the park.

Zayda: Hold on a second.

Hana and Orra were sitting on Hana's bed. Then all of a sudden Zayda appeared out of nowhere.

"Zayda! What are you doing here? If my brother and sister find out you are here they'll freak out." Hana said "Don't worry. I'll be gone in a minute. Why would they freak out?" Zayda said. "Well my sister and brother, and me too actually kind of have a problem with Zeke." "Yeah. I know. But why?" Before Hana could answer there was a knock on her door. "Hana" it was Darryl "You and Orra can come down stairs with us and watch a movie. If you want." Hana looked alarmed. "Alright we'll be down it a minute." She told Zayda to leave.

Everyone spent the rest of the night in the living room watching movies. In the morning Orra and Hana walked to school. "Why, do you think they don't want me to go to school for the rest of the week." Hana said. "No idea" was Orra's reply.
