Swaying in the wind
Disappearing with a gust
Hair flailing to and fro
All I need is a little bit of momentum
Shove me in the right direction
I'm sure to go very very far.
As ironic as it may seem
Exhaustion kills all dreams
My mind may slip away
Hold me down if the wind has gone wrong
And let me go when the wind is right
Flying in the summer sky.
Bitter wind piercing my skin,
Let me go and I'll go far
Hurricanes will take me as
They grab at trees, uprooting everything.
I'll be set down somewhere miles away
Disheveled, wet, and terribly confused
Because you let me go.
