Payne set her keys onto her dining room table before walking to the fridge, "Sparda, I'm home!" she yelled through the house.
She heard the running and the skid of nails against the tile. By the time Payne looked down, she saw a small Chihuahua looking up at her with its head cocked to one side. When she saw Payne looking at her, her tail began to wag quickly and she went into a playing stance."I can't play today, Sparda, remember the last time we played." she told the dog, petting her and remembering the last time.
She came home and they ended up playing for an hour and she was almost late for her second job, not having time to eat or hardly to change. She ended up having to put her makeup on at work. This, by the way, wasn’t very decent looking.
"I need to go change, then we'll see about playing a little bit." she heard a small whine before she began walking down the hall to her bedroom. "What to wear." she pushed her clothes to each side and began looking. She had been looking for fifteen minutes, "I have this many clothes and nothing to wear." the woman then remembered something, "Now where is that outfit." she rummaged to the back of each side of the closet and found what she was looking for: a sleeveless black velvet dress with a lace bodice and darts of purple on the skirt. "Why didn't I think of this before? Forgetting my favorite day of the year, what's wrong with me?" she asked, talking to herself.
She walked down the hall and saw Sparda staring at her until she covered her eyes. "What? Do I look that bad?" Payne asked her, her hands on her hips.
"Actually, I think you look ravishing. If it wasn't for the dog, I'd take you here and now." a voice said from behind her.
She turned to face the man and glared, "Out!" she told him fiercely, pointing to the door.
"Why? We haven't had any fun yet."
"I am not giving you any fun. You're a fucking stalker." she turned her back on him, but before she could take a step, he was in front of her once more.
"Come on, you know you want to." he said with a slight smirk.
"Why do you want me to lead anyway?" she sighed, trying not to look at him. She had to admit, he was very good - looking with his blue eyes and curly black hair and his black trench coat.
He was now behind her, his hand wrapped around her waist and moving slowly as he circled her, "Because you're strong, smart, cunning," he had now grabbed a hold of her wrist and lifted them above her head as he lightly pushed her into the dark blue wall, "and so sexy that you put Aphrodite to shame." his blue eyes on her, searching her face to see a reaction with her being in this position. "And think of it, you would never have to die, Zeus has already agreed to give you godly powers. Then you could be by my side as we conquer the world." he moved his face closer to hers, holding her wrist in one hand as his other hand stroked her face lightly.
Payne gulped, "What would we do after that, Ares? After conquering the world?" she whispered slowly and softly, to make sure her voice wouldn't crack.
He smirked again with a slight growl, "Whatever you wished." he grabbed her chin softly and held her head up slightly before kissing her. He licked her lips, asking for permission.
Payne almost opened her mouth, that was, until she heard a yelp from Sparda. Her eyes widened and she tried to pull away from him. Payne bit his lip to make it bleed, which she knew wouldn't work, but it would hurt like hell.
He let go of her wrists and felt where she bit him, "That wasn't very nice, Payne."
"You kicked my dog, you ass. That wasn't nice either." she knelt beside Sparda and looked at him. "Get the hell out of my house!" and without looking at him again, she picked up her dog and carried it to her bedroom.
