My love you are a light inside of me where there is fading…commiserating
Dancing not alone in the forests of the moments that glorify….immeasurably
Fast I hold your hand and pull you back from the fires that burn you….infuriating
Coordinating all your heartbeats into an endless poem written by me…invariably
I could love you if only the cold would stop setting in so ruthlessly…horrifying
Perhaps when all the worlds finish unwinding into their infinite peace…vacillating
You can hide me in your lap ‘til then, hold me and let me cry into your chest…lamenting
And from this world in its black and darkened hate in which you understand…caressing
Pass me back across into your peaceable considerate disseminations on life…listening
To all your thoughts I learn and grow even in my hiding that which bestows…reflecting
God in my fear that this would all be just another distraction, trick or illusion…anticipating
So in my corner dark I lay my head on its side and stare out at a twisted world…perplexing
Would you tear my heart out and leave me dressed in a dark robe of empty dreams…heartrending
And in the fading there the light flickers barely on - my hands, my heart, my soul…terrifying.
