Seme-Senpai: Yay! The prologue of my big project is here!

Case of Fafnir

Prologue: Just another maniac or not?

The rain fell outside in the dark, stormy night. Smattering against the big windows of the old, victorian style house. In one of the largest rooms voices could be heard. In the room wich was dimly lit by a small lamp on the table in the center, two individuals were talking in low voices. The weak light in the room made it impossible to distinguish any facial features.

''I keep telling you, something's off with this...'' The smaller of the two said grimly.

''What do you mean? Care to explain yourself?'' The taller one responded with a mocking tone.

''All I'm saying is that we should investigate more! He may be up to something!''

The taller figure showed no signs of any kind of response.

''Listen to me goddammit! Answer me! Why?'' The smaller figure yelled furiously while slamming a fist violently on the table as he stood up.

''...Calm down,my british companion...''

The small one sat down again with a deep, tired sigh.

''That's better. Now listen closely, if you can come up with a good enough reason to put full force on this case, I'm willing to take the chance. But however, you have no evidence or even a reason right now. So here's what you should do...''

A few minutes later a furious, short man with silver, waistlength hair slammed the doors open and stormed angrily out in the night, silver mane following behind.

'Who does he think he is?!' He thought furiously to himself. He pushed his round glasses further up the bridge of his nose, wich he always tended to do when he was deep in thought.

'I keep telling him that something's not right about this and yet, he refuses to listen! This guy is up to something awful! I know it!' The rain was falling even more heavily now, causing both his clothes and his hair to cling to him in a very unpleasant way. The stones of the sidewalk were slippery from all the water. He'd have to walk the rest of the way home. Brilliant, just brilliant. Walking without an umbrella. Although, he couldn't really scold himself for not bringing one. When he went here earlier in the evening, the weather had been nice, a little windy maybe but nice nonetheless. 'That bastard! He didn't even offer me an umbrella or a even a ride home!' He felt as if he would explode due to all the anger he felt right now.

He was tired. So goddamn tired. How long had he been driving? Probably since eight in the morning. He glanced at the clock in the car. ''01:00... My god! And it's still a long way left until I get to OldOak...'' He spoke aloud to himself in an attempt to chase away this uneasy feeling that was giving him chills. It almost felt as if he was being watched... 'Nah,I'm probably just imagining things...'

Jake was trashing around in his sleep, while groaning in what sounded like pain, writhing over a sea of too hot bed sheets. The teen had been having some rather... Unpleasant dreams lately, many of them involving death and destruction by a pair of unknown hands. His skin and pajama were both soaked in the usual cold sweat that nightmares tend to give.

He groaned again. This was going to be a long night for poor Jake.

Thousands of miles away, the sun was shining brightly. It truly was a beautiful day, that kind of day when you feel so alive and free, almost as if you're flying. Everything would have been perfect,if it wasn't for the pool of blood near the swings at the playground. And of course, the cold, dismembered body of a young girl lying facedown in the sand, her insides splattered all over the place...

This is not a fairytale, this is not the light-hearted story about the prince and the lovely princess. It is the tale about broken people, about the darkness in the hearts of people and what that very force can make us do. This is the story about the one case that would come to strike fear and despair into every heart and soul, both mortal and immortal. This is The Fafnir case.

Gamie: I like the blood part. 8D

Mazzazaki: Me too. (snicker)

Seme-Senpai: I hope somebody will enjoy this... R&R! Or else... (evil cackle) BTW, Next chapter will be much, much longer! This is just a prologue!
