Lucifer looked in the goblet of wine.
“Atlantica,” he murmured.
The cool liquid surface began to stir and the image of a blue planet floated in its maroon depths. The image came closer and closer till finally he was looking from a bird’s eye view at a city in ruins. And the image went closer yet. The vision in the wine showed families on roof tops crying, floating bodies and riots as the water rose. Then a woman’s face appeared with water up to her neck. Her eyes were completely silver in color as was her hair. A calm tranquil expression was bestowed upon her face. Her lips slowly formed these words God save us.
“Enough!” he cried.
And the goblet showed no more, it was now just a cup of wine. He tossed it aside angrily.
Twilight is a quiet time a day. It represented an interstellar departure of light and all that is lost. It was rarely day for the Morning Star and the Star of Caspian only came into orbit with the realm of angels eighteen times in a what would be a century to us and it only lasted about 48 hours but time goes slower in the realm of angels. The stars kiss of light were brief and made the angels only long for more. Except for Lucifer who loved the night.
He stood on the edge of the stairs to the temple he had just visited. It tickled him to feel the cool marble surface under his feet. Then Lucifer spread his golden wings and took flight. He flew under and over white cloud that where shepherded along across the heavens like sheep. Here and there a crimson cloud would appear like the blood oozing from soft white skin. The crimson ones released carbon gases and would suffocate and unfortunate angel who was to go fly into one. Lucifer played a rash game of weaving in out of these clouds as fast as he could.
Although you might think he was playing games because he had luxurious time to spar but he was actually headed towards a council of archangels. He took the as many shortcuts as her could through dangerous space matter and the building of his people. The soft hazy blue slowly took over the fiery orange in the sky and would eventually turn into blackness only to be lit by the aurora and the stars. His golden body was darting faster and faster towards the hall of heaven.
It took him till nightfall and the aurora was ablaze. Her long strands of hair pierced the darkness and set everything alight in vivid but eerie colors. There must have been many souls for the aurora was the path that the angels took the souls of the deceased along to the dimension of the dead which no living being has been to. It held a sort of wonder to Lucifer. Before entrance upon the Hall he bowed to the aurora for she was the most beautiful in his eyes. On the other hand the tall handsome building was made of every precious stone from every world imaginable. Even though it glimmered radiantly in the dimmest of lights it always seemed to him cold and unforgiving.
He took a deep breath and went in. There where many angels. The room shimmered as the crowd stirred impatiently. There was much flapping and there silky smooth voices floated gently in the air. Silver serpents veined up along the walls along the walls as decorations. Fine spider’s web hung where hung as tapestries. Even merrow. In front of him were 12 seats spun of scarlet stardust. Upon each was an archangel painted entirely red. In the middle was the creator. But every time Lucifer tried to see upon the creator he saw nothing, only brief glimpses out of the corner of his eyes. A hush swept over the crowd as soon as they espied him.
“Come my child,” said the inwardly voice of the creator.
He spread his great wings and flew before his master where he humble kneeled down before him.
“My son prince of light, messenger too the pure, star of the morning and soon to be bestowed with the title of arch-angel. Though young as you may be your wisdom is far greater then the universe, second holiest thing second too my name. May you be forever pies and righteous, may you be the embodiment of all good. Now you may look at me.”
And for that brief and the brief second only he saw what no other angel has ever see before.
“I am forever your humble servant, father.”
“With that I dub thee Archangel.”
A great roar emanated from the crowd as a crown of feathers was placed upon his head. He looked upon what where know his servants as well and gave the most angelic of smiles.
So came the first sin
So came Lucifer Archangel
