Mary, Mary

Mary, Mary

Red and black

Burgundy in the dark and day

Mary cries for

Some miracle, in some form immense

She prays to

Bring him back from rise to risen.

The miracle is

Brought, then hailed: come closer now

She wants to

Touch that flesh, yet the rejection

Overshadows gay shade

Tears of grief, tears of relief

Closer, closer now

Yet pulls away, so she listens

At what words

Pull her in to the risen

What worse they

Are to touch; they never fade.
