Fallen Blessings

Last love in the shattered glass that cut through time’s skin

The escape lies in the heart not in mind

Mesmerizing notes remind of long ago

Timbers of soft spoken voices sink in mind

As the frail animals lower their eyes

And close their mind to anything

Fallen blessings wipe away by bitter screams

That put forth anger and cast its darkness

Dismal are the days that roam endlessly and without order

Come take away the black rain that reigns over
