Habitual Me.

-

Habitual me,

Waking up in the morning, and

Always wondering if

Things will stay the same.

I hope things stay the same.

-

Habitual me,

I see that the world is changing.

My mind is phasing, because

I can’t comprehend what lies ahead.

I’m slipping; losing my grip on

What I know for sure.

I don’t know anymore.

-

Habitual me,

Breaking down freely because of

Broken patterns, and

Possibilities of what happens after

Tomorrow, or even days that follow.

-

(Mental distress is not normally in my daily routine, so it seems.)

-

Habitual me,

Because I know I’m constantly repeating

What needs to be said,

Just to make sure you hear me.

(I hope you can hear me.)

Speak to me, and don’t let these words become

Faded memories.

-

Habitual me,

Going to sleep in the evening, hoping

Tomorrow, things will stay the same.

I hope things stay the same.

-
