Take It All Away

Take away our eyes, Lord Jesus,

Maybe then we can truly see.

A broken compass guides this world,

When it's You that sets us free.

Tangled up in our own excuses,

We find a reason not to pray.

The pride, the hate, the sinful nature

Lord, take it all away.

Take away our ears, Lord Jesus,

Maybe then we can truly hear.

When people just ignore Your words,

They cause another tear.

We curse and speak with foulness

With the hurtful things we say.

The harsh, cruel words that abuse Your name,

Lord take it all away.

Take our easy life, Lord Jesus,

Maybe then we can truly feel.

We'll find the world won't offer peace,

And allow You to come heal.

The world is Satan's playground,

And he molds trouble like clay.

He forms murder, lust and lies,

Lord take it all away.
