It slips off the tongue

Deadly and oh so sugar coated

And creeps across the floor

Serpentine

To its waiting prey

It cleverly disguises itself

As compliments and pageant smiles

But when the haze wears off

And the poison starts to sink in

The paralyzed prey

That word damaged meal

Will realize that loquacious lollipops

And gumdrop grins

Can always be laced

With arsenic intent
