AN: Obviously Walgreens. This is what happens when you are bored at work too much. Each little stanza is about each of my co-workers. The last long one is about me. They might be too random to catch but I still like how it turned out.

Shared time leading us here

Forced to interact

Tension often underlies

Ah, but there are the good days

Cherries on your ears

Feet that balance quietly

On the blue and white step

It’s a weekly event

Been androgynous before

Gradually stretch your lobes

Reading the binary

A rainbow doesn’t a lesbian make

Venturing into the cold

The stories never stop

After the complaints

Your learning was complete

Being taught health

Yet you smoke on your breaks

Your eyes are breathtaking

Words flow easily from your lips

Lisping words took me aback

Friendly smiles dispelling my confusion

Early morning suits you fine

I wave but you don’t see me

Guiding my actions

Sometimes in the dark

Your silence is expected

Always winning contests

Impressive your height stands

My jealously sparks

Many skills pull you around

Trying to fill the gaps

Fearing the dark

Makes me want to hug it away

But you are too young and jaded

Your blue eyes are beautiful but fake

The best ones always leave

Foreign languages and laughter laced our tongues

Yes, I ate fifteen

Who else can I look forward to?

We strangely clicked

Full of holes and animation

One slight comment made me second guess

I expected at least forced nicety

Only here on occasion

Writing like Shakespeare

Taking on bets

Proudly wearing a tiara

Artificial chemicals keep you alive

Son’s pants are too short

Letting cold water seep up your legs

Better than your predecessor

Anticipating your arrival

Look behind to see the secrets

Bad luck with haircuts

Bears kiss and bunnies talk

Unintentionally emulating a movie

You even praise the lack of work

Repetitive vocabulary grates on the nerves

No you can not drive my car

Brand new place

Dictating ourselves is not expected

A shiny tie dazzles my collector’s eye

Your silence causes me to reveal things

Plastic card often forgotten

A life sustained on chocolate

Easy fuel for mindless reading

Always drawing a spitting tongue

Distract and correct contradict each step

Not sure of what or when or our

Don’t throw the paper out

We Leos are too similar

Smell like a salesman straight out of New York

Tigers and angels rule your skin

Indirectly hitting on my mother

It takes ‘til eleven

Four kids and four earrings

Makes the tough blush

Can’t pronounce your name

Completes the girl squad

Censure yourself for once

Learn to stop sometimes

I will decorate you some day

Cigarettes lead to memories

I am the only one to understand you

Nose stud creates culture

You do the unwanted tasks

Fellow sufferer of illegibility

Whenever you’re around I sprout children

Lugging pounds of words

Making boxes full of magic

Constantly talking our mouths dry

You are things that I have yet to know

Truancy and injuries separate us

Working in the land of strange machines

Marriage and religion sets us apart

Complaints are your life’s work

Makeup always coats your face

Rarely contented with anything

I tolerate you for your friends

Stunning fragments from around the world

The product of your hands inspire

Fangs of blood stir the heart

I want to cover you in paint

Virginal mouth spewing vulgarity

There is a monster living inside

Too tall for your years

You shake me like a doll

Clashing of female titans surrounded by beauty

Tears break your control

Reluctance has been subdued for now

You are gone before I arrive

Back and forth between extremes

Able to be second in command

Try not to let the power go to my head

It allows one dollar more

Just another part in this disjointed machine.
