Lay here

Dream what could be

Forget what happened

Have you as my friend.

But that’s all it is.

A dream.

So I dream myself awake.

This is tearing me to pieces

I don’t think I can take it

And I just don’t see the reason

To keep going

When the person I love more

Than my own life

Is gone.
