Chapter 6
I woke up the next morning at ten and crawled out of Adam’s bed. I was feeling much better, almost completely back to normal. I took a quick shower and once I was dressed I decided to make breakfast for the guys. About an hour later I was done and took to the task of waking everyone up. I grabbed the spare key to Will, Chislett and Carden’s apartment and went to wake them up. Once inside I decided to wake up the Mikes first.
To Chislett’s room!
I quietly closed Mike’s door behind me and tip-toed to his bed. Then I climbed onto his bed and hovered over him. I leaned over to his ear and screamed at the top of my lungs. He went flying up and our heads collided with a loud knocking sound.
“Mother-!” I screamed out in pain.
“I guess you’re feeling better.” Chislett said with a scowl on his face.
I nodded. He didn’t look so happy to see me.
“I made breakfast. Be in my apartment in five minutes.” I said as I scurried out of the bedroom.
Carden’s next!
Once again I quietly made my way into the room but I was too late. The other Mike was already awake and taking a shower. I stood at the bathroom door and yelled out to him “Mike! Breakfast in five minutes!” He said something in response but it was muffled.
Now: Will.
I walked over to Will’s door and hesitated shortly before opening it.
“Eww.” I whispered to myself before quickly walking back out the room. Will and some girl were naked and sprawled out in bed.
“Gross.”
I guess that means no breakfast for Will.
I quickly skipped out the apartment with the Mikes on my heels. When I got to my apartment I banged loudly on the door while ringing the bell. This was a much easier way to wake up Adam and Andy. When the door opened a very sleepy Adam was standing behind it and Andy was standing a little further back, obviously confused.
“What are you doing out there?” Adam asked.
“I made breakfast for everyone and I went to wake these losers up.”
“You made breakfast?” Andy asked perking up and running towards the kitchen.
“Yuppers.”
We all sat down and ate. Ten minutes later the phone rang. I sprang out of my chair and ran to answer it. Maybe it’s Brendon.
“Hello…Hey Will…Yes, they’re over here…Because I made breakfast…You are invited…I did come over to wake you up but you had a guest…Yes, there is food left…OK bye.”
I walked back into the kitchen to see the guys staring at me.
“Who was it?” Andy asked with a mouth full of food.
“Will. He’s coming over.”
Just then the bell rang and in came Will.
“So, where’s your friend?”
“She left.”
I was about to question Will some more when the phone rang.
“I’ll get it,” I screamed and ran over to the phone. Please let it be Brendon.
“Hello…Oh, Pete...I’m feeling much better…Yea, they’re here... Sure. Hold on, I’ll put you on speaker.”
I took the cordless phone into the kitchen. “It’s Pete for you guys,” I said before placing the phone on the table and pressing speaker. Pete began talking to the guys about music stuff and I decided to go for a walk. It had been a while since I’d seen the outside. I grabbed my cell phone and my IPOD and left the apartment.
I had been walking for an hour and ended up at the library. I spent the next hour in the library and when I left I was struggling to carry about twelve books in my hands. I was about two blocks away from the apartment when I saw Brendon jogging towards me. Please let him stop, please let him stop. Crash!
“B,” I groaned.
“Sorry, I couldn’t stop. I tried.”
He quickly got up and pulled me off the ground. Once we had all the books, we started walking towards the apartment.
“Where were you going in such a rush?”
“I was coming to find you. Why do you have so many books?”
“I’ve got to do something while you guys are doing the whole music thing. Why were you looking for me?”
“Two reasons. One: You really shouldn’t go walking around by yourself when you’re sick and two: We’ve got news.”
“I’m not sick anymore and what news? What’s going on?”
“We’re going on tour. Well it’s more of a mini-tour. But still…”
“Wow. That’s great. So Panic! At the disco is finally going on tour? Cool.”
“So is The Academy is.”
“Really! Adam and the guys are probably really excited huh? That’s what Pete called for? Maybe I should have stuck around.”
“Maybe.”
“How long?”
“Three months.”
“Oh.”
“So you won’t get to see my beautiful face for 3 months, 12 weeks, 90 days…”
“What? I don’t get to go? Adam’s going to leave me in that apartment all by myself for 3 whole months. No fair. I don’t even know anyone besides you guys. I’m going to be completely alone. This sucks.”
I knew I shouldn’t have said any of that out loud but it came out to fast for me to stop it.
“I’m sorry. I didn’t mean to piss on your parade.”
Brendon chuckled and threw an arm around my shoulder and rested his head on mine.
“It’s ok. I’m sorry you can’t come but there really isn’t much room. I don’t think Adam wants his little sister on tour with a bunch of guys anyway. You know that if it was up to me you would so be there. Maybe you can stow away on our bus and sleep in my bunk with me. I’ll sneak you food and stuff. It’ll be fun.”
At that I laughed, but I was seriously considering the offer.
Once we got back to the apartment I put on a happy face and congratulated the guys. The guys from Panic were there and so were Pete, Joe, Andy, and Pat. Everyone was pretty hyped up and practically bouncing off the walls. That night there was small celebratory party, so I didn’t get to speak to Adam until the next morning.
“Adam, are you really leaving me here all by myself for three whole months?” I asked in my best imitation of innocence.
“Well, I’m definitely not bringing you on tour with all those horny guys.”
“Adam! You know I won’t do anything stupid. I promise I won’t get into any trouble. Let me come, please.” I begged/whined.
“No. Besides, you won’t be all alone in thisapartment. You’ll be staying at Pete’s.”
“So, I’ll be all alone in Pete’s humongous house. That’s so much better.”
“Stop being such a pain in the ass. You won’t be alone in Pete’s house either. Joe will be there and so will Andy, they’re not going, and Pat and Pete will be back after a month. See. Don’t I always take care of you, little sis?” He said patting my head.
I smiled slightly at my brother. I could have mentioned the two years he practically abandoned me, but I didn’t. That would be a pretty bitchy thing to do.
