Writing sonnets is not easy to do.
They’re silly blippets that take too much time.
You could, for example, write a haiku
And save yourself from learning how to rhyme.
Sonnets abide to that Iambic Rule.
Well, as far as that Shakespeare fellow knew.
Now some use sonnets as a different tool.
Their blippets don’t rhyme every other line.
They’re called Modern Sonnets, making no sense.
So, if you must go write a sonnet, just
Note this crucial rule: be autonomous
And follow any of the rules you want.
You’ll be balked, frustrated, and very mad.
