Ok so here's another chapter. Hope you like it. :P
Chapter 2
8 years later
“Honey today is the first day of school, so I thought I’d give you this ring” she said handing me a small gold ring with a special blue star stone on it. “This was given to your great grandmother that gave it to my mother that told me to give it to you; she wanted you to have it.”
On the ring of the band there was a saying, it said “La luce de la stella.” I put the ring on my third finger on my right hand. “Mom, why is it called the light of the stars? And why did my great grandmother want me to have it?”
My mother just smiled “don’t want you to be late” she said while pushing me out the door.
That was my mother; she avoided questions that involved my great grandmother.
Finally a new school year had started and I knew what that meant, new classes, teachers, friends, and of course guys. I hoped that this year I would find a boyfriend but expect much if I didn’t get one.
In middle school I never really had much muck with guys; I always ended up having a lot of guy friends but never a boyfriend.
Even though I wouldn’t mind having one, I was to busy anyways. I did, and usually do, a lot of things in school.
I play a lot of sports like basketball, volleyball, swimming, and track. But that’s not all I even perform in plays.
But this year for some reason I had a hunch that is was going to change.
I walked down the road to get to the school when I bumped in Martin, my old crush.
“Hey martin!” I said as cheerfully as I could without sounding stupid.
“What’s up Ria?” Martin asked in his cool and collected voice he always had.
“Nothing much, just walking to the first day of school.” I replied suddenly wishing that I hadn’t pointed out the obvious.
Martin knew that I had like him for two years in middle school (yea I know kind of sad) but he (meaning me) also knew that we’re just friends. On occasions I still kin of thought that he thought that I still kind of liked him, if that makes any sense.
That always bothered me because ever since he found out he never really talked to me like he did in seventh grade. I guess I have to get over since it was two years ago.
As we walked to school Martin slowly moved to his other guys friends behind us. I felt a little sad but that was ok I saw Misty up ahead.
Misty is me Best friend, she knows almost everything about me.
If I were to describe her in one word I would say she’s a very hyper, very unique girl, like me just without so much hyper.
She has medium straight black hair and is very pretty.
“Ohayo” I said in Japanese.
“Ohayo” she replied back with a smile.
“What’s up... Why are you smiling like that to me?”
“Oh nothing, you just look different this year”
“Different? How?” I said pulling one eyebrow up.
“Don’t ask, just accept my complement” she said with a stern yet jokingly look on her face.
“Well since this is a new school year and we’re in the same class, let’s head over and check out or new teacher” I said pulling Misty to skip arm in arm with me to class.
We walked into class like and stood in the back of the room to get our seats assigned.
When we were all in our seats the teacher started off on a morning introduction.
“Good Morning class, I will be your homeroom teacher and I would like and tell us your name. We’ll go thought the rows.”
When it came to my turn I did as all the other student did before me, “Hi, my name is Andria Lane, but my friends call my Ria.” After I was down there was a small hum of whispers.
“Quite down class, be respectful to the person who is speaking!” the teacher say in a voice that kind of scared me a little.
When everyone was done we got to have free time to talk to each other, but before I had a chance to get up and talk to Misty, a girl came over and stud right in front of my desk.
“So you know Martin. Is there anything between you two?” she asked snobbishly that sounded creepy.
“Yea, I know him. We’re friends” I said curious of what she was getting at.
“Good, that better be all you are to him” she said rudely and turning her Barbie like body to walk away.
“Wait” I called after her.
“What?” she snapped at me like I did something wrong.
“What’s your name?”
She straightened her posture and raised her head in a snobby way. “My name is Kathryn Balica” she said pausing and lowering her head to look at me. “You should remember that.”
“Got it, Kathryn” I said jokingly before she left the room.
“Who was that?” Misty asked walking over to me desk.
“Kathryn” I said sourly.
“Ewe,” Misty moving in closer to make sure no one else was listening, “I heard that she’s a really loser face and kind of a slut. What did she want with you?”
“I don’t know something about Martin” I said uncaringly.
“What’s this about not caring for Martin I see” she said seeing through my words.
“What?” I didn’t know how to respond to that. “Why should I care, he ditched me this morning”
“Yea, ok, whatever you say”
So? how was it? if you want me to discribe some of the charaters a little more then i put in a chapter of who looks like what. but other then that REVIEW.
