A/N: Thanks for the reviews everybody! Eve's thoughts are in italics and the underlined stuff are the secrets. If you see any mistakes or misspelled words, please tell me so I can fix it. Thanks. -D.

I’m not lying, I’m just telling half of the truth. It is technically my power. No one needs to know.

Mindy’s eyes automatically looked at Eve and were full of confusion and curiosity. Eve looked back at her and sighed. Crap, you can hear me right? Mindy nodded and then gave Eve a confused face. I guess I’m going to have to tell you. Since you can read my mind and all. But, you cannot tell anyone. No one. Do you swear not to tell anyone? Eve and Mindy were still staring at each other and Alyssa was looking at them back and forth. Mindy nodded again. I will tell you, but not today. Today’s not a good day.

A few hours passed by and it was almost dark. Eve had unpacked all her clothes and set up her stuff in their bathroom. Mindy was reading a textbook, Alyssa went back to sleep and was still sleeping, and Missy had been teleporting back and forth from the library and back.

Tomorrow would be the first day of the new school year and that meant if Eve could make it through this school year she would only have one more to go. Eve sighed and turned to her side, facing the wall. For some odd reason she couldn’t get Julian out of her mind. Yeah, he was a cool person and was good looking, considering you could only see his smile and nose. Eve got up and then jumped down from her bunk, getting her bag off the ground and taking out the manila folder. She dumped the contents onto the desk against the wall and then took out her schedule. September fourth, Monday morning, eight o’clock, Sir Frances building, First class: Cursing; How To. Her first class was, to Eve’s opinion, the least important. She was already well aware on how to curse people and use charms and spells. Eve thought that the class she really needed to go to would be, Reverse the Curse. That class would help her so much, and it would get her life as close to normal as she could get it. After arriving at the academy, Eve had one goal only. Get rid of it.

“Okay, girls. I’m ready.” Eve looked up from the paper and saw Alyssa standing at the bathroom door all dressed up. Since their first meeting was unorthodox and chaotic, Eve didn’t really get a chance to get a good look at her. Also the fact that for the past three hours Alyssa had been buried under all the blankets she had covered herself with.

Alyssa had on a tight black dress that ended mid thigh and was followed by a pair of amazing black shoes. She looked like she had no makeup on besides lip-gloss and mascara, but her hair looked like she had spent hours on it. It was glossy and sleek, shaping her face.

“You look absolutely breathtaking, babe.” Eve looked towards the dorm door and saw a drop dead gorgeous guy standing at the doorway. She couldn’t stop staring. He was just absolutely incredible. Eve’s eyes finally detached from the boys face and then looked at Missy and Mindy, but they acted as if they didn’t even see him.

How can they act as if they don’t see this gorgeous boy?! I mean, come on now.

“It’s because we met him before he looked like that, Eve. We know what came before that tan skin, white teeth, and beach blonde hair. The real Jarryd is underneath all that cologne, attitude, and expensive clothes. Missy and I know exactly what’s under all of that.” Mindy said. She stood in front of Jarryd the whole time she gave her speech and the gorgeous boy named Jarryd stared down at her with hate in his eyes.

“Well, Alyssa knows what’s under those expensive clothes. Isn’t that right Alyssa?” Mindy mocked. Jarryd and Alyssa made eye contact and Eve noticed that her eyes were glistening.

“Let’s go now, Alyssa. Don’t mind her.” The gorgeous boy named Jarryd took Alyssa’s hand and dragged her out of the room. The door slammed shut and Mindy stared at the door.

“Did you see the way he looked at me, Missy?” Mindy said. “As if I was the bad guy.” Eve stood there, afraid to move. She didn’t understand anything that was going on, but she could feel the emotions radiating off of Mindy. Obviously, something had happened between her and Jarryd. If only Eve knew what.

“Gwen, just forget about. Look, we know where they’re going and that way we know how to avoid them. We don’t have to go tonight if you don’t want to.” Missy whispered to Mindy. Eve was listening intently and was surprised that Missy called Mindy by her real name. A moment passed before Mindy said anything and it was the worst kind of suspense. Waiting for an answer to a question you didn’t understand.

“No. We’re going. After all, we have dates. We shouldn’t waste them.” Missy nodded and then went to the bathroom with a dress in hand. Mindy sat down on the bed and Eve went to go sit down next to her. Mindy’s eyes were glued to the ground and Eve put a comforting hand on her shoulder.

“Are you okay?” Eve asked. Mindy nodded and then looked up at Eve.

“I’m fine. Don’t mind me, I’m just a big bag full of drama.” Mindy laughed nervously. “But, hey. If you don’t have any plans tonight, would you like to go out with Missy and me? We’re going to Vantage Point.”

“Oh. Well, I actually heard you and Missy talking about your dates and everything. I really wouldn’t want to be a burden.” Eve said. Even though I’m dying to go, I just can’t.

Mindy laughed and stood up. Eve remained on the bed and looked up at Mindy who looked excited.

“Eve, if I invited you then that means I have date for you. No one goes to Vantage Point without a date.” Mindy said. Eve’s eyes lit up with excitement. She opened her mouth to accept, but right when her lips parted Missy swung the bathroom door open. She was wearing a red vintage dress with killer stilettos. Eve looked down at her jeans and t-shirt and shook her head.

“I have nothing to wear. I didn’t pack nice clothes like that. Alyssa and Missy look absolutely great and I’m sure you will too, but I couldn’t afford clothes like that in the first place.” Eve said. Missy walked over and handed Mindy a dark blue dress with lace sleeves. “See. That dress is amazing.” Eve said.

“We have plenty of clothes that would fit you.” Mindy said, taking Eve’s hand and leading her to the bathroom. “All you need to worry about is your date. I’m sure he’s just as excited.”

“Eve, stop fidgeting. You look great, now stop that before I teleport you to Alaska.” Missy scolded as they made their entrance into Vantage Point. It wasn’t like any other club you would find, it looked as if they had went back into time and were partying with flappers from back in the day. Mindy strutted into of the building, wearing a white Grecian inspired dress. While dressing up Eve, Missy and Mindy declared that Eve rocked the blue dress better than the white one.

Eve and Missy followed Mindy inside and two very handsome gentlemen greeted them. Oolala.

“Eve, this is my date, Simon Calhoun.” Mindy said. She motioned her hand towards the first guy who in Eve’s opinion didn’t eve compare to the other guy. Eve waved hello and then faced Missy.

“And this is Javier.” Missy said as she walked away with him in hand. Eve laughed and then put her attention onto Mindy,

“Who’s my date?” Eve asked. Mindy swayed to the music that was playing and pointed towards the bar. Eve followed her finger and saw the back of some guy’s head.

“Him?” Eve asked, pointing at the guy. Mindy nodded and then went to the dance floor with Simon.

Eve walked towards the bar and tried get out of the way of people dancing. When she made it to the bar she didn’t directly go and talk to the boy, she was too scared. At first, she just stood behind him, and then she sat four seats down from him, and then she was behind him again. Come on Eve, just say Hi.

“Um, excuse me.” Eve poked his shoulder and the guy turned around towards her.

“Eve? Is that you?” Julian said. Eve laughed when she saw him and then thought of Mindy. Of course she would’ve asked Julian. She must have heard me thinking about him.

“Yeah. Are you my date?” Eve asked dumbly.

“I guess I am.” Julian said. He grinned the grin Eve loved to see, but still, she saw no eyes. His dark locks of hair covered his eyes and Eve was dying to see them. Eve took the seat next to him and ordered water. A few moments passed without them saying anything and it grew awkward. Julian just tapped his fingers on the bar while Eve fidgeted with the hem of her dress.

“What’s your power again?” Eve finally said, breaking the silence. Julian looked at her with his nonexistent eyes and rubbed the back of his neck.

“Mind control, or something of the sort.” He said. “It’s difficult to explain, but I’d rather not talk about it, if you don’t mind.” Eve nodded in response didn’t say anything after that. Eve looked at Julian through the corner of her eye and sighed. He was cute, and she started to think that he was possibly dateable. His smile is so adorable. He seems like a sweet person. I wonder if he thinks I look nice. Eve’s thoughts were out of control, all she could think about was Julian and then her mind stopped working when all of a sudden it started. I stole a pencil out of Andy’s bag. Eve’s back tensed and she stood up without saying anything.

“Are you okay?” Julian asked. His voice was filled with worry and Eve was sure that if his hair weren’t covering his eyes she would see concerned eyes too. His eyes were sure to be gorgeous. I took an online quiz on how sexy I am. Eve didn’t respond to Julian and ran through the crowded dance floor looking for Mindy. God! Not the secrets! Anything but the secrets! Please!

Eve searched and searched for Mindy but could see no sign of her. She wandered around but still didn’t see her, but from afar Eve could see Missy sitting with her date at a table, and they looked quite comfortable. Missy was flirting with him and Eve was sure that if she interrupted them Missy would kill her. But this was an emergency. She needed to get out of club. Eve ran towards Missy and crashed into the table. Missy jumped and so did her date.

“Eve! What the hell?” Missy screamed. Eve panted and then caught her breath.

“You have to get me out of here. Please Missy, teleport me back to the dorm. Please! Now!” Eve shouted on the top of her lungs. Eve was pretty sure she was scaring all the people around her but she didn’t care. She needed to get away from Julian before something happened that she didn’t want to happen. Missy stared down at Eve and saw her desperation.

“I’ll be right back.” Missy said to Javier who was still sitting down. He nodded and then looked down at Eve.

Missy stood up and put her hand on Eve’s shoulder. Eve closed her eyes the same time Missy did and then the next thing she knew Missy had told her to open them up.

Eve looked around and saw that they were safe in the dorm and she sighed in relief and headed for her bed. But, she was stopped by Missy’s heavy hand.

“You owe me an explanation.” Missy said. “What the hell was all of that about?”

“I didn’t know that it would actually happen. I hoped and prayed that it wouldn’t, but now it has. It’s going to ruin everything, Missy. The more time I spend with him, the more I’m bound to like him, and then it’s going to lead me to hear more things I don’t want to hear.” Eve whispered. Missy was leaning as close to Eve as she could but still wasn’t following what she was saying.

“I don’t understand what you’re saying. What do you mean you’re going to hear more things? What does that mean?” Missy asked.

“It’s the curse. The ultimate love curse.” Eve said. Missy pushed Eve towards a chair and sat her down.

“What are you talking about? What love curse?” Missy asked, her face was plagued with confusion and she rubbed her temples in uncertainty.

“I’m cursed, Missy. With the worst curse of all.” Eve looked down at the floor and Missy sat down on the bed. Her face was blank and Eve could tell she was trying to soak in all the information.

“Who cursed you?” Missy finally asked. Eve smiled weakly and rubbed her eyes dry from the tears that were spilling out.

“That’s the best part of the story.” Eve paused and let out a breath of air. “I cursed myself.” Eve whispered.

A/N: This chapter kind of shows the relationships between the girls and a little bit about their past. And then the best part of this chapter is getting a little clue on the curse Eve put on herself. But, don't worry, I'll explain it more in the next chapters. So, thanks for the reviews and please leave more! Review please! -D
