"Loving Scars"

With you, there is nothing else

I feel my heart beating, trying

To escape to you

Longing for your embrace

Close my eyes, imagine

You are mine

If I were a thousand miles away

I would still see your smile

Waiting for you today, tomorrow

The day after that, forever

Waiting for a resurgence of yesterday

Wait for the day that you break

Break, break

Please, break

I could cry a million tears

And you’d make me smile, all the while

You would steal it again

Swiftly

I’m as close to heaven as I’ve ever been

So steal it

Take me again

I’m waiting

If I gazed into a thousand eyes

Compared to yours, they’d all be black

I guard the pieces of a long broken heart

Waiting for you

Mend me

I’ll give it to you

When you make me whole again

Release my captured soul

I could kiss a million lips

And still taste yours, kissing back

Your pretense of cold, your barricade

Break it, tear it down

These simple words I tell you

I love you, in each and every way

When you find who you really are

I’ll be here, ready to love your scars
