Prologue

Doodle was dressed to kill. She was beautiful, she was confident, she was oh so vain. She had a mission, and tonight she wasn’t about to fail again. Never again would she let herself fail. Failure was no longer an option, not after the last time. With one last look in the mirror she blew herself a kiss and was on her way.

Kris was still asleep. She didn’t have the motivation to get out of bed. She thoroughly intended to spend the rest of her life comatose. Never again would she get up only to be shoved back down. Getting up was no longer an option, not after last night. With this final thought, she rolled over and attempted to sleep again.
