Meeting You
I remember meeting you clearly
On that hot summer's day
With the sun beating down on us
All our friends had gone away
And we were both alone
So we thought we'd talk
And ended up together
Having a nice long walk
You asked for my phone number
You sent me a message that night
I smiled when I received it
Wondering if you were Mr Right
We met up again the next day
And the day after that too
We spent our whole summer holiday
Alone; just me and you
We became pretty close friends
And spent all our time together
We decided during that summer
That we'd be friends forever
And I guess we were right
We're still friends to this day
But now we're lovers, not just friends
I hope that's how it'll stay
