The World That I Know
I look at those children
Running and playing around
Joyfully, innocently
As any kid should do
And I feel so sorry for them.
I see that smile on their little face
And their shining eyes
Reflection of their pure soul
I hear their songs and their giggles
And I feel so sorry for them.
Once they’ll grow up
They’ll have to face the reality
That won’t allow any naivety
Because adulthood has no place for innocence
And I feel so sorry for myself.
