Drums in the trees

Drums in the trees

By the ticktockman

Drums in the trees

The sound of branches knocking

As in a swift breeze

Symphony in the sky

It brings me to my knees

The music is enchanting

The tone of rushing leaves

Oh please god, do not stop

For that would be a tease

I must listen to the sacred call

Of the drums in the trees

War and pain and hurt and blood

That is what it tells

Nature will cover only so much

It sings as if in bells

Hurt with only bring more hurt

As the music swells

Plant a tree and sing will me

Or we will all be shells.
