Confetti

Confetti

Everything I’ve ever loved falls to the floor

The sparkling perfection lost in the world that consumes me

Broken in it’s meaning, I keep pushing the thoughts around

Never picking myself up, I float from one heartbreak to another

My heart is a mess of stitches and scars, open wounds

The mind inside, tortured by these thought and accusations

And the veins run hate into my soul, feeding my pain

A knife in my back, my head in my hands, alone

This is how you left me, time and time again

Desperate and screaming for someone to hold

Crying for something stable to lean against

But as I fall, broken, I realize that this world

Is beyond repair
