I Know

I know who you would pick

If you had to choose

Who would live or die

It doesn’t make me angry

And I certainly wouldn’t mind

Though in the choice of time

Of whom to spend it with

The fact they have much more

Has less of the same effect

I’m often left to wonder

Playing guessing games

Will you go through with what you said?

Or will things be rearranged?

Nothing’s EVER set in stone

It’s a sad game of chance

Will we even talk this week?

Will I be spared a glance?

I know who you would pick

If you had to choose

Who would live or die

It never made me angry

And I certainly never gave mind

And in the choice of time

Of whom you spend it with

I know I’m not as important

But it has MUCH less of the same effect

So next time we plan something

I hope it’s not too much to ask

But could you warn me first

Before you knock me on my ass!
