I have written stories before, it's just that the fiction presss thingy ma-bob-er won't let me download it onto the other thingy-ma-bob-er. So here's a fresh new story that I'm starting, since I have a new account.( and the thing won't work.)

CHAPTER 1

“ Could you put your pants on any slower?” asked Ava.

“ Could you shut up?”growled Melanie.

“ Gosh, someone's grouchy.”

Melanie Bridges and Ava Penelope were two best friends that had met in ninth grade. Every year since high school they would be late for the first day of school. It was like an unspoken tradition that had happened once and never stopped. Melanie would wake up late and Ava would just tag along waiting for her. Melanie was currently fussing with her hair .

“Ava, why didn't you come here earlier and wake me up if you knew I was going to wake up late.”

“ Melanie, Melanie, Melanie.” she pause. “We have record to keep. We can't be on time the first day of school. Plus, this is our last year of high school, we go to make memories.” As she said this, Melanie grabbed a jacket , got her back pack and pulled Ava down stairs.

“ Some friend you are.” Melanie mumbled.

“ I love you too.” Ava smiled.

They got to the driveway where Melanie started searching for her keys. “ Shoot !Where the hell are my keys?” Ava sighed and unlocked the car.

“Get in, Mel.”

“ How'd you get my keys?” Ava ignored the question and handed Melanie her binder.

“ Oh my god, I almost forgot it ! Thanks.”

“ What would you do without me?”

“See you at nutrition! Bye!”

Melanie ran to her first period and burst through the door.

The teacher glanced at her and sat down. “ Ms. Bridges, nice of you to join us.”

“Sorry.” Melanie turned to the class and saw Rene beckoning her to sit next to her. She flashed a smile at Rene and quickly tried to make her way towards the backs. “ Eee!” Her books suddenly flew and her feet had betrayed her. She. had. tripped. The class erupted with laughter as she gathered her things.

Mel's Point Of View

Oh my god! I can't believe this is happening! I just organized my backpack, grrrrr. Okay, so where's my chemistry book? Hmmm..oh there you are, oh dang it's all the way under the-

“ Are you okay?” said a deep voice.

My jaw slightly dropped down and my heart started beating quickly. I looked up to see the most gorgeous looking boy, ever. His emerald green eyes held concern and his dark wavy hair was tousled. I felt so whole- no that's not right, my heart felt whole and my mind was so calm, so happy. We ogled at each other, not saying anything until someone (so rudely) said “ Why are you guys looking at each other like that?” We both snapped back to reality and saw that the whole class's attention was on us. Our eyes darted each other, making sure we weren't even looking at one another , because boy oh boy that would be so awkward. I blushed furiously and gathered my things quickly. I mumbled a thanks to the mystery boy and sat next to Rene.

Ms. Rogers looked at me and said sarcastically “ Thank you, Melanie.”

Rene leaned towards me “ What was that about?”

“ Honestly? I don't know.”
