Prince Charming

He said we’d be ‘together forever’,

But that was just a fantasy.

Wanting my Prince Charming to come and rescue me,

Knowing he won’t be there.

Prince Charming’s a tale,

Told to me when I was young.

He would come riding on a stallion,

Carrying me away and into the sun.

Where’s my Prince in shining armor?

Is he even real?

I ask these questions almost daily;

Never finding the answer.

Will my Prince Charming come?

Only time will tell.

If I were to have know him now

Would he be charming or fake?
