A friend once asked me what was life
I told them it's a web full of lies
You're tangled, you struggle, you fall in deep
Next thing you know your heart skips a beat
Darkness surrounds you, you're all alone
No place to go to, your veins are sewn
The end is here, but have no fear
There still might be some hope left for you, dear
Shoot, no, there comes the spider
He's not sure about you either
Still, you're a meal, you'll do
No doubt his aim would prove true
Fangs out, you're rooted to the spot
Help? Where? You're already caught!
Dead you are, and very much so
Pretty much sucked into that spider's hollow
And when he's done he licks his lips
If he's even got any, that is
He's really sorry it had to end like this
He smiles and lets out a satisfied hiss
And you, you friend, what can I say
I really am sorry it had to end this way
We all experience things, good and bad
But the fact you didn't get through is really sad.

-Chris.
