Blood Moon

Your gaze watches over us all

Red as blood I cannot help but stare back

As I look at you it seems to me that I am the only one

For a while you cast your bloodied gaze upon the world I can see nothing but you

You are beautiful yet deadly and I wait

As I stare mesmerized I fear to fall into the void that surrounds you

Darkness is your ally

Judging me with your harsh eye

I find it hard to look away

When I do you draw my gaze back like a magnet to metal

A force that should not be defied

Then relief when it had passed

I am able to look away

Having been judged and having passed
