Hold MePrologue To Kiss Me

There was a young woman that laid in the middle of a black iron framed bed, the sheets were pure white and her body was entangled in them. Her blonde hair contrasted starkly against the black silk pillows. She tossed back and forth in a restless sleep, suddenly a loud alarm blared next to her bed on the night stand rousing her from her sleep. 'Country Man' by Luke Bryant played and she walked over to her closet to grab the clothes that she would be wearing that day. She grabbed some low-rise jeans and a red top that slanted off her shoulders and showed off her perfectly tanned mid-section. She ran the water in her shower so it was almost scalding, as she stepped in Gary Allen's 'Watchin' Airplanes' played on her radio. She showered quickly, changed, and went into the kitchen, grabbing a cup of coffee. She poured three packets of sugar into it and sat down at the counter, studying the marble green counter top intently.

"Brittany?" A voice calling her drew her out of her revere.

"Cassandra?" Her voice was questioning as she looked at the second of the triplet set.

"What are you doing up so early? It's the weekend, you know your suppose to sleep in right?" She asked and yawned.

"I'm sorry, sis, did I wake you?" Brittany asked, although she didn't look one bit repentant.

"Not even you could have woken her, she was dreaming of Shawn last night." A male voice said from the doorway.

"DOMINIC!" Cassandra cried as she flushed.

"Hey Dom." Brittany whispered.

"Hey B. What's your plans for today?" The oldest of the set asked.

"Well in about an hour I'm missing--I mean I'm meeting Jason, sorry, my head's otherwhere."

"I don't think you should Britt, I don't like the way he treats you, it's like he thinks your his property or something." He said disapprovingly.

"I agree, BB, I think you need to get away from him." Cassandra agreed.

"Oh, what do you know?!" Brittany yelled as she slammed the cup down on the counter and began to stalk off. She was only mad because they had said what she had been thinking.

"You." Cassandra said quietly and Brittany stopped in her tracks, she then darted out the door and slammed it behind her. "I think I made her mad."

"No, WE made her mad, and it's only because she knows we're right." Dominic said as he leaned against the counter and rubbed his temples.

Brittany was steaming when she walked outside, she knew for a fact the only reason she was mad at her siblings was because they were right. Jason treated her like shit and she knew it. But she loved him, or was under the impression that she loved him, anyway. She walked down to his house and knocked on the front door. Scrambling was heard and then she heard the door unlock. There standing in the entryway was a young man of about six foot in height, not as tall as Dominic but still tall, with mussed bleach blonde hair and piercing violet eyes. He looked her over and pulled her inside quickly. He pushed her against the door and fixed her with his gaze.

"What are you doing here?"

"I know that Im' early, but Dominic and Cassandra were criticizing me for being with you, I needed to get out the house; to see you." She whispered.

"I never did like those brunettes." Jason growled as he let up on pushing her and walked over to the couch. "You can sit down you know."

Brittany, who had until this point, been leaning against the door, walked over and sat by him on the couch. She knew that his temper was volatile at best, and she wanted very much to not disturb his temper. She didn't feel like getting beat senseless, it would only give Cassandra and Dominic more ammo. She settled in next to him and he clicked on a street racing movie, which was fine with Brittany, she like those kind of movies. He threw his arm over her shoulder and pulled him into him, she ignore the stitching discomfort in her shoulder and simply focused on breathing. Brittany cast a small glance in Jason's direction. It was as if he hated her very presence. She didn't understand what she had done to make him mad, but he always seemed to be ticked at her. All she could do was try and keep from incurring his anger. She kept these thoughts to herself though, he certainly wouldn't be pleased with her if he knew what her thoughts were like. Suddenly though, her cellphone rang and she sat up to answer it.

"Hello? Matt? Hey how are you? I'm good, just hanging with Jason, yeah we'll be down to Sundown later, you will be also? The whole gang, really? Well I'll see you then. Okay, yeah hun, bye." She hung up and looked at Jason who was looking at her angrily oh great. "What?"

"I don't like him, he looks at you too much."

"He's my best friend Jason, lighten up, he doesn't like me like that." Brittany said and rolled her eyes. Shit, shouldn't have done that! She thinks to herself as she feels his hand come down hard on her cheek. Tears sprung to her eyes, but she forced them back, she had gotten quite good at that by now.

"Never speak like that to me again." Jason hissed at her as he returned his attention to the t.v. "Get out of here, or I'll hit you again." Brittany wasted no time what so ever in getting to the door. She opened it and practically flew out of it, going to meet Matthew, she knew that he would be there if she asked. She pulled out her cellphone and speed dialed him.

"Pick up dammit." She was scared, very scared right now. She heard the line pick up and Matthew say hello. "Matt, thank god. Please, don't speak, and don't ask me, just...meet me at the park in ten minutes."

"Britt, what's--"

"I told you, no questions, just please, meet me." Brittany pleaded, she was near tears now.

"Alright, I'll be there." Matthew said as he heard her hang up. He was very worried, she sounded absolutely terrified. He shrugged on a hoodie over his black tank and pulled on his black jeans. In three minutes he was out of the door and headed to the park. He was very worried for her. He hated that she was with Jason in the first place, the bastard didn't deserve her. And for her to call him and literally beg for him to meet with her, things had to be bad. When he got to the park she was already there, facing away from him and sitting up on a tree branch. "Brittany?" He called softly, he wasn't quite sure of how to approach her.

Brittany started suddenly and then realized it was only him.

"Hey Matt." She said, her voice was shakey and lacked conviction.

"What's going on Britt?" Matthew was very weary, she wasn't acting right.

"Oh, nothing." She said as she dropped down from the tree, being careful to face away from him.

"Britt." Matthew said, he was being slightly harsh, but it didn't matter, something was up and he knew it.

"Something happened with Jason." Her voice was soft, and with her back to him, he could hardly hear her.

"What happened Britt?" Matthew asked as he walked closer, the very thought of that bastard getting near enough to her to cause this to happen, the thought made Matthew's very blood boil. But he had be calm, he loved her, but she was Jason's. So he had to play the very concerned friend, not concerned lover, although he'd much rather be the latter. He was just behind her now as he placed a soft hand on her arm, turning her slightly. Matt gasped when he saw the blue mark that was fading on her cheek, Jason must've hit her something fierce. "WHAT--" Matthew cleared his throat, calming himself. "what happened?"

"I was stupid, I said something in a tone I shouldn't have. He hit me." She said as she shivered and a few tears slid down her cheeks.

"Brittany." Matthew sighed as he pulled her into his arms and hugged her to his chest gently, letting her cry into him. He felt so incredibly awful, and he wanted to kill Jason, but he knew that he didn't stand a chance. She cried hard into him and Matt just whispered into her ear that it would be okay, that he wouldn't let him hurt her if he could help it. But that just seemed to make her cry all the more, so he gave up and just tried to soothe her tears away.

After a little while she had stopped crying and looked at the darknening sky. She sniffled slightly and then looked up at Matt, with still desolate eyes.

"I better go, get cleaned up, for hte club tonight. Make myself at least presentable."

"You don't have to." Matthew immediately protested.

"Of course I do, I wouldn't want him to do anything to you Matt. I love you." Brittany said and then walked away. She left Matt stunned in her path, she had told the truth for once, and she knew she shouldn't have. She should have left him unawares. But she couldn't do anything about it now, and it was time for her to go back home, take a shower, and dress for the club that night. When she arrived she saw Dominic and Cassandra in the the kitchen. "I'm sorry." She whispered going by as she ducked her head and ran up to the bathroom to hop in the shower.

Ten minutes later she was dressed and styling her long blonde hair. She had on a red leather tube top and read leather pants. She was waving her hair and once that was done she put on black eye shadow and mascara. Finishing it off with a blood red color for her lips. She walked down stairs and Dominic's jaw literally dropped.

"Lookin' good sis."

"Extremely good." Cassandra supplied, although she was dressed in a black tank and short skirt of the same color.

"Right back at you both. Everyone's going to be there, maybe you can get some time with Alice." Brittany smiled at her brother as a light blush crept across his cheeks.

"Let's go." He said hurrying to his car.

"He's got it bad don't he?" Cassandra asked.

"Oh yeah." Brittany agreed. "Dominic wait, we're taking my car."

"You only pull it out for special occassions." He said in a wondering tone.

"Are you complaining?"

"No." He said quickly as they got in her car. It was a Porche 411 Turbo, yellow. It was very sporty and she acquired it overseas, when she went to Italy last summer. They drove up to the club, Sundown, and walked inside. They spotted their other friends almost immediately, Cassandra ran to her boyfriend Shawn and jumped in his lap; attacking him with kisses. Dominic walked over to where Alice sat and sat down beside of her. Her best friend Jena, Matthew's twin, sat with her boyfriend Shane, who looked extremely uncomfortable. Matthew, she saw, sat at another table, by himself. She walked over there and began to talk to him. She had no clue if Jason would show up and she shuttered to think what would happen if he did. But now she would enjoy the time she had with Matt.

"Hey." She whispered as she sat down by him at the table.

"Hey." His voice took on an excited tone.

"How are you?" She asked as she leaned her elbow on the table and hook her hand behind her neck.

"I'm fair, how are you?" His piercing green eyes were concerned.

"I'm okay, better. What I told you is true you know. I do love you." She whispered the last part but she knew that he had caught it.

"Why are you telling me this? You're with him." Matthew was actually kind of angry that she was springing this on him.

"Not for much longer." She whispered.

"What do you mean?"

"I mean that he touches me when I don't want to be touched, in wrong ways, he's raped me; and he continually beats the shit out of me. I can't do this, I deserve better Matt." She turned her eyes away from his. She hated telling the things she had endured. "I'm breaking up with him tonight."

"Oh you are?"An angry voice sounded behind her, she turned to see Jason standing there. She stood shakily and spoke with conviction she didn't feel she really had.

"Yes, I'm tired of the shit you pull on me. I'm sick of being your toy to do with what you will and I'm sick of you beating me." Her voice had grown in volume and her siblings along with Jena, Shane, and Shawn had came over to witness the blow up. "So go ahead hit me. It's the only thing you can do, your not even a man if you think you have to hit me to control me." She breathed dangerously and he did exactly that, he clocked her across the jaw and Dominic restrained Matthew.

"Just hold up man, she's going to take care of this herself." Dominic whispered in Matthew's ear. Cassandra was saying much of the same thing to the twins, Shane and Shawn.

Brittany pulled up into a roundhouse kick and hit Jason perfectly, it knocked him to the ground, she resumed a fighting stance. She heard his dark laughter from his position on the floor.

"If I'd known it was going to be like this, I'd have had you stand up to me long ago...sexy." He growled the last word.

"Get out of here Jason, don't bother me again." Brittany said as she turned to Dominic, she saw Jason leaving and handed Dominic her keys. "Take these, I've got to go and cool down, drive yourselves home when your ready. I'll be home later." She said as she gave him a hug.

"Are you sure you'll be okay?" Cassandra was in front of her now.

"I'll be fine, Cass, just need to think. That jackass is finally out of my life, maybe now I can set somethings straight." Brittany cast a meaningful glance at Matthew. "I'll be home later, have fun, celebrate." She smiled as she walked out of the club into the cold air, it cleared her head and made her feel better.

An hour later found her at the park and she was admiring the translucent full moon. She then heard a voice behind her.

"Ah, the lovely lovely Brittany, I thought I'd never find you." That familiar voice called.

"Go away Jason." She growled.

"Now why--" She cut him off with an uppercut.

"That's why, leave me alone. I'm not your girlfriend anymore, you bastard. I'll be along to pick up my things later." She growled as she headed home. She went straight up into her bed, didn't even bother changing, and went to sleep.

The next morning, she awoke and changed into some jeans and a t-shirt. She walked downstairs, pulling her hair up into a ponytail as she did so, and saw Dominic and Cassandra sitting at the counter.

"Morning." She called.

"Hey, where are you going so early?" Dominic asked, being the caring brother he was.

"I'm picking up my stuff from Jason's, and I'll finally be done with him."

"Maybe one of us should go with you." Cassandra said worridly.

"I agree." Dominic seconded.

"Guys, I'm a big girl, I'll be okay." Brittany said as she hugged the both of them and walked out of the house and over to Jason's, calling him before she got there to let him know that she wanted her stuff.

She walked into the house, he had let her in fairly quick, and gathered up all of her stuff in a box. She sat it in front of the door and turned to him, to say goodbye, but he said something that caught her off guard.

"Brittany, baby. commere." She was appauled.

"Go away, Jason." She said calmly as ever.

"Why should I? We're in my house, and you are my bitch." He said in that cool bass that had once sent shivers of pleasure coursing throughout her thin body. "Now, Brittany, do we have to this the hard way, or the hard way?" The bleached blond make asked as she walked up to her, he grabbed her arm and pulled her into his body.

She could feel his eagerness to do it the 'hard way'. His lips hotly claimed hers. She felt the hot and salty tears, that she had blinked away before, slide down her cheeks, running towards her unmoving lips. That was, until Jason unbuttoned her jeans in order to get his hand down her tight pants, and he grabbed her roughly. This made her gasp, which gave him the opportunity to stick his tongue into her mouth, nearly choking her. He slammed her against the wall and ripped her clothes off of her body, within seconds he divested himself of clothing and penentrated her roughly, she was crying and trying to push him off of her, but she couldn't. She was put through another hour of this torture, of this ordeal. Then he finally let her go, she dressed quickly, grabbed the box, and ran home. Crying the whole way and feeling ashamed. When she walked into the house, her triplets knew that something was wrong, from her dishevelled appearance and the tears streaking down her cheeks.

"Brittany, what happened?" Cassandra asked as she caught her before she fell to the ground.

"He...touched...me." Was all she was able to sob out, Dominic picked her up and took her into her bed, laying her down and the both of them tried to coax her into sleep. It took a while but it finally happened. When she woke up and was calmer she told them the entire story and Dominic was marching to the door, with her pleading the entire way for him not to, to go and beat the guy's ass for touching his sister. That was when there was a knock on the door. They opened it and it was a police officer, he alerted them that Jason had just been killed in a car accident.

Brittany cried despite herself, she couldn't understand what was going on. She tried to call Matthew, but she got no answer, it appeared that the one person in the world that matter, that she wanted to tell this to, wasn't there. He was the one person who she wanted to hold her and tell her that everything was going to be okay, that they'd never leave her, or ever do that to her.
