Letters grow onto my pages,
Eventually they will become words.
I hope they touch your heart,
Proclaim how much you are truly worth.

You are precious.
An important piece of script,
A whole chapter in my novel.
Without you, the plot would not be whole.

Yet…

The dialogue you deliver,
Sometimes the words are hollow.
You smile like you are supposed to,
Speak the lines you were given…
The syllables are too practiced to believe.

I love you,
I always, always will.

After all,
What’s a story without love?
What’s my life without you?
There is no rise,
Climax,
Or closure,
Not without characters.

Words hold nothing without you.
