Who Really Believes in Happily Ever Afters?

I mean, Prince Charming’s not real.
Who really believes in a happily ever after anyways?
They don’t happen. Ever. So many stories. I’ve written some myself too. Why? I suppose it’s because we’d all like to fool ourselves with the fantasy, with the illusion that something like that could happen to us. But why? Why do we have this thirst for these lies?
Who’d want to read a story with the girl losing her Prince Charming? Falling…

Prince Charming’s fake anyway. He doesn’t exist. How could anyone be perfect? No. It’s all a scam; a lie. He never was real, and never will be.
But then, what’s true love?
Does it exist?
Do people like us ever find it? Or does it just sit there, just beyond our reach? tormenting us? Dangling in front of our face? Are we ordinary? Or are we something more?
Damn you Prince Charming. So fake. Not real. You give us false hopes. Dreams. Dreams that will never come true.
Why do we take it? Why do we believe in it? It’s all lies.
Who really believes in Happily Ever Afters?
