Don’t you want something better?
Something more, something regular
A home, a family, a distinction, a sanity
All those wonderful beautiful things not found in me
It’s not my fault yet
It’s still what’s wrong with me
Don’t you want it I ask because
It’s what I want, more than reason
I want warmth and why? Why not?
It’s not fair. Does this mean I’m
doomed, like many others to mindlessly repeat?
And ugly pattern, how does it get better
When it has already started off wrong how
Can that part of you ever be right?
And I know, this I know
I’m wrong
