Plastic Diamonds

-

The golden necklace,

hugging my flesh,

a substitute of your warmth.

A single diamond dangle before

my heart -- a promise,

a guiding star.

The kisses your feathered

down my neck,

and the trails of fire your

slender fingers left

along my trembling flesh.

-

The golden curls that have

the honor of touching

your face at each waking hour,

while I claim the night;

and those clear blue eyes

like sapphires blessed

by angels

Cutting through me,

and taking the breath straight

from my lips,

before they capture yours,

like waves,

crashing hopelessly and

thirstily

into high rocks,

dancing to the raging wind

and the pull of obsidian.

-

My screams are silenced

by the weight of your pleasure

and the echo of your voice,

like a melody divine

to my eager ears.

-

Suffocate me;

rob me of reason and desire

for any man other

than the one I hold so dearly

in my arms

each rise of the moon.

-

Whisper in my ears,

and let your voice of velvet

so alluring, sensual,

mesmerize my mind and

claim my ability to move

a single inch

away from the warmth of

your coveted embrace.

-

I'll close my eyes

and wrap my arms

around your firm chest,

and smile between

kisses

and moans, as the waves

of our bodies rage.

-

When the wind dies,

whisper in my ears

three simple words that

fill my heart

and twist my mind;

forever etching themselves

deep within my memory.

-

Those were the last words

I heard from your blessed lips,

before you disappeared

into the sunrise.

They are my treasures,

as endless as the trust

I would protect with your life.

-

I carry your touch

to the morning after, when

you sit in that throne,

with a crown obscuring your golden hair,

adorned with every

stone except the one I wear.

It does not shine.

Those slender fingers,

just the night before

had stolen my consciousness,

now hold the hand

of your queen.

-

You will always

be within my heart, and

not for a single second will

you leave my mind.

-

Happiness will touch my lips,

that are poisoned by yours,

when I hold this glittering gem

and strangling sunlight,

that mutilated my heart.

It will be the last thing

those false sapphires

will ever see.

note:

I see this poem might be a bit hard to understand to other people except me... so here's an explanation: this poem tells the story of a naive young girl who gives her heart and body to a mysterious man.
The man appears at her chamber every night but disappears the morning after. However, despite that, the girl falls hopelessly in love with him. He gives her a necklace, which she treasures. One morning, the girl goes out and sees the same man dressed in expensive clothing and wearing a crown. She realizes that the man was the king, and that all along he had only used her as a play thing to enrage his wife. The girl grows insane, and stabs/plans to stab (it's not revealed whether he dies or not) the king with the same necklace he had given her.

The girl believes the necklace is real gold and a diamond, but it is actually just cheap brass and paste.
