A/N: Welcome to The Temptations! Another story I love to bits and pieces even though I'm not very far with it. xD Short beginning, I know, but it gets better. I hope you all enjoy the story as much as I do writing it. And thanks to a friend, I can finally post it since I was stuck on a summary and genres. xD So thanks a bunch!
The Temptations
They were called the Temptations. They were the embodiments of Sin.
Each had their quirks, their personalities, their own abilities. But they all shared three things. One was that they were what they were – living Sins. Second was that they had been human once upon a time, they had not been born the way they were. And lastly, they all were mad and in turn turned those they tainted mad as well.
There was a leader of the group. She was called Acedia; the embodiment of Sloth. On the contrary of her Sin however, Acedia was not slothful in the slightest. In fact she could rarely really stay still, constantly jittering as if she lived off caffeine. Her emotions were conflicting, varying between her sinful nature of being apathetic and insane bloodlust. It was her constantly changing moods and ideals that made the others fear her, made them follow her.
As of now she was draped over a large sapphire plush chair, picking uninterestedly at her sharp nails as the other Temptations stood before her. Her clothes where modern; consisting of ripped blue jeans, a white tank top, and a faded denim jacket. Instead of a solid blue, her hair shimmered into each and every shade of blue in a matter of seconds, changing constantly and cut in a choppy fashion.
After a few excruciatingly long moments, Acedia twitched and suddenly flipped over in her chair, going from lying on her back to hunching over in the chair to stare wildly at the others. “What are you all just standing there for?” Her tone was high pitched, and filled with laughter that would run chills down anyone’s sides. “Go find them!”
Not needing to be told twice, the other Temptations quickly vanished from sight, leaving Acedia alone in the painfully white room. Tapping her bare feet against the ground rapidly for a few minutes to fill the silence, she bolted up from her chair and ran out the front door to the balcony that she promptly jumped off.
Acedia twitched violently as she landed on their neighbor’s roof. Lifting her star sapphire eyes to the full moon, her mouth twitched into a twisted smirk. Tonight really was the perfect time to begin the Hunt.
