You smiled widely,

While I only smiled mildly,

We pressed our hands together,

Just like he had Whethered,

I asked what you got on the test,

You said you didn’t get the best,

You got a “C” just like me,

Couldn’t you tell we were meant to be?

All the time you smiled,

Only made me want to stay for a while,

Even then you were smiling,

As you confessed that fact,

And just like that,

You got me crushing and blushing,

With all the blood rushing,

To my face,

But that didn’t stay the case,

The surfer boy who came to stay,

Then went away,

Just like that he came and went,

Leaving me beautifully bent,
