The Bird

Down came the dove

flittering and fluttering

between the two

interrupting

a kiss

but they smiled

She giggled

He chuckled

and they still

held hands

Still watching

the twittering bird

it sang a beautiful song

and the young couple

with its serenading

returned to their

interrupted kiss

and the beautiful bird

flew off into the sky
