Approaching the Voices pt. 1

He wishes he could be as cool as Caulfield
He wishes he could have that extra sting
His misery shall end my will for living
And yet he seems to be the dullest thing

"I don't even know your name,
Why are you writing a poem about me?"

Ain't got no style, ain't got no class
Shut up in there, I'm done with you
Can't provide me one creative bug,
I'll have to grind you up for two

Check it, one -- one, two
Check it, one -- one, two, three

He wishes he could be as fly as Jay G.
He wishes he could have another drink
He wishes he was someplace more exciting
He wishes all these things yet never thinks

Your secrets haunt me in my bitter sleep
And yet you're little more than just a creep

I'd like to reconcile your soul for you
But sadly that's just something I can't do

"He could be the most uninteresting
Interesting person ever.
Don't you think he's got a heart,
A mind and a soul,
You still love him, no?"

Reduced to imaginations colliding
Stick up for one another against the great creator
This poem is losing rhythm and I'm going into hiding
I know in time they'll care for me, but that won't be 'til later

Check it, one -- one, two, three
Check it, one -- one, two, three, four

Done.
